Training Grounds would be an amazing reprint for BFZ!!!!! It would be great with cards like Pia and Kiran Nalaar and Tasigur, the Golden Fang!It would also decrease monstrosity costs!

Please reprint this WOTC!

What do you guys think?

Monstrosity goes out while BFZ comes in so while yes it does, it isn't relevant any more. RIP Stormbreath

I really hope Training Grounds is reprinted to. I mean it would be pretty stupid with Tasigur, the Golden Fang but honestly I don't care.

Better yet, give us an artifact version that is just as efficient and only works with creatures. I'm sick of enchantments always being better than artifacts. (Training Grounds versus Heartstone)

You realize enchantments are better than artifacts because they have a color requirement and as such don't give access to abilities outside of the color pie. Right?

RIGHT?!?

You realize Heartstone isn't playable? The only way to get something like that is modern playable is for it to cost 1 due to Abrupt Decay in Jund, Abzan, and Bug. I wouldn't mind if it was an artifact encahntment that still cost . I don't mind if it only reduced cost by 1 like Hearthstone, was an enchantment and artifact, and cost .

Point is i'd love a training grounds that was searchable with Tezzeret the Seeker or Trinket Mage and that didn't make me auto lose to Abrupt Decay as far as the mana cost goes.

Lol kengiczar, you want your cake and to eat it too? What makes an artifact version of Training Grounds more playable in modern than an enchantment version? If your willing to trinket mage one up, might as well Idyllic Tutor one up.

Eh you have to have so many cards in the deck actually be artifacts for Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas, Mox Opal other cards to work.

So basically you are hoping that they make a card specifically designed for a deck you have, with no other reasoning than it fits your very specific niche? Might happen. BFM did after all.

Considering the set is already designed, along with the rest of the block. Your a little late in trying to ask for a Training Grounds reprint.

If there is something that you want to see, you have to ask 3+ years prior to the set being released, because that's when the sets actually being designed.

@ RoarMaster - No that is not it at all. I play Esper control and Jund Loam Pox in modern. So this isn't for my decks. The closest of my decks that this could possibly go in is Tezzeret's Tournament Contagion but that deck has nothing that could take advantage of it.

Three years ahead of time seems nuts. So many meetings. Then again they have to find artists, copyright everything, and play-test for standard in addition to making the cards...

Anywho it's possible that they already put Training Grounds back into BFZ and we just don't know about it. I think it's unlikely, but enjoy imagining it anyways.

kengiczar when you said that it needed to be an artifact for it to work with Tez and Mox I assumed you planned to use this new artifact training grounds with those cards as they were not mentioned previously in the thread.

I would try it out to goof off in a modern deck but I wouldn't actually play the deck or even want to show it off.

I think a card like I suggested would do best in a Sharuum the Hegemon deck or perhaps Sydri, Galvanic Genius. I don't like play esper artifact in EDH though because the win cons are all the same. So few ways to win with artifacts.

kengiczar Ive not found artifact decks in EDH to be too narrow at all myself. Theres a ton of ways to win with artifacts, across all colors. Im curious which win cons you are referring to?
