Return to Theros Speculation

Sorry if this is supposed to be in the Lore forums.

Read this. It seems as though Kruphix is foreshadowing one of these threats (Phyrexia, Eldrazi, Bolas) coming to Theros. Could we see a possible Battle for Theros? In a couple years or so if Phyrexia hasn't been revisited again, I think we could a see a block where the Phyrexia take over, or try to take over, Theros.

Read this. Maybe we see a block where the gods fall, with Ajani leading the charge.

Theros hasn't even rotated out yet. We won't be back for at least another 4-5 years. Probably longer. I'm not sure the set was really all that well received, and there are plenty of other planes Wizards will probably revisit first.

Theros hasn't even rotated out of standard yet and you are already theorizing a return? For Mirrodin and Ravnica there were 7 years between the first and second visiting. For Zendikar there will be 6. I don't think we will see a return to Theros for at least 5 more years.

Guise, it's confirmed. Return to Theros is happening after "Return to Return to Ravnica", which is after "Revisiting Battle for Zendikar".

We know Ashiok is serving some greater master and was responsible for driving Xenagos into the madness which lead him to ascend. My guess is he works for Bolas and is tasked with destabilizing the plane.

Edit: New block structure = faster moving storyline. Comparing to previous return blocks from the old structure is pointless.

Yeah, and I never said this was happening in the block after BFZ, I said a couple years.

Anyways, I didn't know that about Ashiok. Maybe he/she works for Bolas like you said.

I'm not convinced Elspeth's story is finished either, so I'm sure we'll hear more of it in the future. Especially since confirming it to be Gideon's home plane puts more importance on it than before.
