Sidisi, Brood Tyrant

1BGU

Legendary Creature - Naga Shaman

Whenever Sidisi, Brood Tyrant enters the battlefield or attacks, put the top three cards of your library into your graveyard.

Whenever one or more creature cards are put into your graveyard from your library, put a 2/2 black Zombie creature token onto the battlefield.

So much fun with delve.

It's a shame she can't produce multiple zombies and is so invested in a faux dredge gameplan.

This card just made my dreams come true. Zombies are my favorite tribe, and so many self-mill. She makes that so much more valuable. Plus she takes some off the hurt off those pesky mill decks.

It's like Bridge from Below .... but worse...

Dat creature type doe.

Naga please.

I wouldn't say she's strictly worse than Bridge from Below at all. She works off of the library milling, and enables herself, whereas bridge requires a specific setup to work, and sometimes does nothing if they kill their own guy.

It's almost Grave Titan . And Grave Titan was bonkers.

At worst, it's a fun mythic. Finally a way to play Graveyard-Sultai in EDH without getting gangraped by your table (because everyone hates mimeoplasm).

How does her trigger work? The "one or more creatures" is tripping me up. Is it only 1 token per milling trigger or 1 token per creature milled?

It doesn't say "Whenever a creature...", but it also doesn't say "...this turn" either.

Gienah For a single instance of milling, if you mill one or more creatures, you get a zombie. So you can get multiple zombies per turn, but you need multiple mill effects for that to happen.

In the same trigger, if you hit 1 creature, you get 1 zombo. If you hit 2 creatures, you get 1.

You can get multiple triggers per turn (giving her haste, extra combat phases, etc), which means that you can get multiple zombos per turn, but it's really only about 1 token per turn realistically.

Ok, thank you. I still like her. I might try to build an EDH deck around her with reanimation, ETB, and blue blink effects.

Yay Nyx Weaver ! Seems like a fun deck, I'll do some experimenting after I experiment with Temur Ascendancy

Hm my perception of this card is, that it is really powerful in Commander (Amazing actually) and has also very high potential, as long as the other cards of the Sultai clan, synergize well. The card alone i good with gving you 3/3 and 2/2 for 1BUG and each attack another 2/2. Depending on how relevant delve and a full graveyard will be in Tarkir, this card can be very powerful. The Sultai Charm also does great things, if Delve will turn out as useful, because as of now i dont like any of the Delve card very much, as you dont save any mana, because they made them just so much more expensive. 9 drop 4/5 with a mediocre removal ability for creature? I dont think this is in any way viable, neither standard nor limited play But if new spoilers arrive and the 2. and 3. Block set will improve on the mechanic, i can see her become not only a commander bomb, but also a standard and definitely limited bomb :)

As one of the infamous Delve dudes I expect Tombstalker to see a reprint.

Jace, the Living Guildpact will be GREAT with Sidisi. Toss the creature you peeked at from your top two cards into your graveyard for a 2/2.

Jace, the Living Guildpact , Nyx Weaver triggers, Sidisi triggers, Satyr Wayfinder , Commune with the Gods , Nemesis of Mortals , Nighthowler , and Whip of Erebos . Seems like it would be very powerful with a constant flow of creatures into your yard provided you don't deck yourself out.

I'm excited for her EDH potential.

With so few cards revealed I'm still wondering which direction to go with, but so far Sultai does look the most interesting. However, I'm curious as to just what direction they will be taking it. I mean, Delve seems to really lend its self to getting big fatties out cheaply, but Sidisi also makes me wonder at the viability of going wide as well. That's probably why I like this card: it gives you an out to go wide if you can't go tall.

I'm trying to stop myself from debating the merits between the Nemesis of Mortals route or the Strength of the Fallen route since we are still missing so many cards. Personally I'm hoping that by "ruthlessness" they mean something like "kill all your opponents stuff, then make a giant monstrosity."

this card has a lot of potential, ALOT in commander. I do think this is really fun with Grave Crawler basically you can mill the crawler then play him lol

Wow, Anafenza was spoiled, she apparently hates Sidisi, never seen so much hat :D I mean BUG will be able to get rid of Anafenza anyway, but if you cant, you are done
