So... am I just crazy or might Siege Wurm actually see standard play? In selesnya Aggro you can just tap all your creatures and play Siege Wurm ... easy.

Or, am I just crazy???

Eh. You don't really want to tap a ton of things just to make a 5/5 trampler playable. It's a 7-drop, so unless we get some on-cast or ETB abilities that pertain to mana costs (which isn't impossible, considering convoke lends itself to shenanigans like that), Siege Wurm is just unplayable.

However, this spell does allow you to impersonate Paul Atreides, so there is that part.

But a 5/5 trample-wurm is a much better buy at 4 mana. Advent of the Wurm is it.

If someone figured out a weird deck with lots of inspired creatures I could see it get fringe play. But I doubt it would be very consistent esp since inspired is such a crappy mechanic, at least in my world. Definitely not something you'd build around at this point, but convoke could make for some fun casual decks now

@ JakeHarlow MOADIB, MOADIB!!! "Tell me about the waters of your homeland, Moadib."

Eh. There are better choices. A good limited bomb though.

Advent of the Wurm is WAY better than Siege Wurm , so I dont expect to see Standard play. For Limited though its a good bomb.
