Silent Sentinel
5WW
Creature - Archon
Flying

Whenever Silent Sentinel attacks, you may return target enchantment card from your graveyard to the battlefield.

4/6

Aside from the fact that this creature is over-costed, I think that this card is interesting, and will probably see a fair amount of EDH play... and of course, some people will try to make it work at FNM.

Enchantment creatures, including Gods, will be returnable. Enchantments that get removed regularly will be harder to deal with (ie. Detention Sphere could be repeatable "removal", along with things like Soul Tithe , etc.)

Though I think that more/better Auras would be needed to make this worth while. Right now, reusing the Ordeals is about the best option for it.

Thoughts?

My thought? That art is terrible...

No seriously. Why does it look like the white promo was copied from a mythology book by a 6-year-old when the others actually look like...idk...Magic cards.

My thoughts, you forgot that limited exists and is the prime target for development. The number of enchantments in that make the cost bearable and fine.

The original card mockup image was very 2-D and blurry.

They just update the pic, and it's much better... still not the best, but better than the mockup.

Because you're looking at a picture of a picture of a picture of a poster...

I also think that the sentinel is over costed, but they all have to be. I don't really see it getting any play in standard that isn't just for the lolz, honestly.

...Coincidence that Sun Titan was in the Theme deck for the Theros... and that this creature has glowing eyes just like Sun Titan ?

In limited, it's a HUGE bomb. It's a big-butt Flying beatstick that brings back all the pain-in-the-ass cards your opponent had to deal with earlier in the game.

That art there is fine. In fact, it's actually quite good. However, I was referring to the promo art -- an example of which can be found here

Sure, it's a bit blurry, etc. from its origin, but even with that kept in mind I'm just really not a fan. Especially for promo art.
