Again if it were 1 less mana.... I still think Rabblemaster applies more pressure. This card (seems to) need a build around to be good and don't think it'll see standard play. It gets hit by almost all removal, including magma jet, and doesn't have any evasion.
The popularity of tokens also means chump blockers for days.

I like this card quite a bit. Powerful card draw in a monsters type of deck.

I think having haste does make this guy better. he also allows your team to get bigger, and has potential to draw a lot of cards. the biggest problem I see is that, like you said, he dies to everything, and is really going to be hard pressed to do work. That is why I think he would be great in draft/sealed. there isn't a lot of removal for him in that environment, and the draw ability is something that could get out of hand real fast

He's certainly good, and I think I'll play around with him for a while, but in the end I don't think he'll seen too much in Standard.
No doubt he'll be great in limited, even though he dies to morphs and manifests.

I'm an EDH guy, and I kind of both like this guy and don't. In a deck like Riku of Two Reflections or Maelstrom Wanderer, where you kind of want to have the big fatties to play anyways, this guy almost seems like a semi-reliable source of card draw.
At the same time, there's a point where instead of using his card draw effect, I'd much rather actually use the mana to end the game, and there's more reliable card draw that isn't dependent on having a board state.

Keep in mind this guy would be played in temur. Lots of trample which means he'll trigger the card draw more regularly even if you do run into chumps. On the other hand, I think the 2 toughness is terrible. Makes him removable to practically anything.

Yes it dies to removal but so does rabble master and look how many decks that's in ...some cards are harder to hit than others but every card has something that gets it.

Could the price tag on this be reasonable to start ordering now, or would it be better to wait and either trade for one at the prere or buy one after release?

Discuss the potential
I would say limited all star, but only fringe, if any, standard play
