Anybody got any good ideas for a mono white shell? Maybe Triplicate Spirits and Raise the Alarm ?

If there are more playable aggro creatures to morph this guy could be a sneaky good finisher.

@Rasta_Viking29 I dunno how often is an aggro deck going to invest 2 turns and a total of 8 mana for a +2/+2 until end of turn? The aggro deck would probably rather just plays this as a 2/2 for 2 mana.

@abenz419: actually, I think that a strong convoke mono white, with some anthems and tons of tokens, could use this as a finisher... I'll try it out when it comes out :)

The thing is is that this card in multiples can do both. If you get it early , you can play it as a 2/2 for 2 mana. If it's more Turn 3 or 4, you can Morph it and then try for the strike for lethal on Turn 5. It's valuable as both, not just one or the other.

Except this doesn't have convoke. It's still gonna cost you a turn and 3 mana to play it face down and then another turn and 5 mana to flip it. Considering most aggro decks aren't even trying to get to 5 mana, that seems like a tall order.

abenz419 it's a bear with upside. If this is the only morph creature the opponent has to fear then it's worthless. If there are other good morph creatures to play then it becomes a threat because it has a much better chance of flipping. Giving +2/+2 at instant speed will usually result in bad blocks by your opponent or taking a big chunk out of their life. With cards like Raise the Alarm and Brimaz, King of Oreskos supporting wide strategies it seems like it could fit in. It also helps apply pressure without committing more into a sweeper on turn 5 which could be important to the meta.
I'm not saying this is a great card. Just that it's good and could see play if things shake out favorably for the strategy it wants to play.

It was mentioned in the first post, but if you have open, flashing in Dictate of Heliod seems like a much better play. You still get that midcombat boost, except it lasts beyond a turn.
This looks like a rare suited for limited.

I'm just saying, creature based aggro decks want to play creatures and turn them sideways. Not invest multiple turns and tons of mana into one card, that's all.

I agree with abenz419. I know that rarity is determined by how good the card would be in limited, but this thing looks like it would suck even there. You pay an extra mana so you can pay an additional 5 mana so that all your creatures get +2/+2 for 1 turn and then he's back to a 2/2. It's just a bad card. If he were stronger or if the Morph cost was lower, this thing might be decent.

looks like Kevin McCallister throwing down pearl beads to trip up Daniel Stern and Joe Pesci.
Maybe that's the name of the third set, back to the present time, all the dragon's are dead and Sarkhan is "Home Alone"

this thing is a beast in limited. I'm still not sure if it deserves a spot in constructed. It is nice that you can play it early game, or late game and still get a use out of it. But in a deck it wants to be in 5 mana is a big investment, and there are also many 2 drops fighting for the same slot.

A temporary Dictate of Heliod anyone?
