8UUU delve you take an extra turn and exile the card. This is going in my mill deck. This is beautiful and insane. What are your thoughts on it?
I am in agreement with that statement. I'll personally be trying to make it work in a mono aggro shell. With Master of Waves, because why not.

Use double square brackets like a deck link:
[ [W] ], [ [U] ], [ [B] ], [ [R] ], [ [G] ] -->
Numbers can be used for colourless:
[ [1] ], [ [5] ] --> ,
Tap symbols too:
[ [T] ] -->

hybrid mana symbols seem to follow the same general idea, however they don't always seem to work right for me:
....
sometimes it will say no item found for whatever the hybrid symbol you're trying for and not let you post it, its strange.

Anything that says extra turn is fine by me. Of course I'm skeptical of an cmc spell. But that's not TOO far up from the of cruise and dig. But that extra (and the ) might be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
Also I just () khan't get over () these mana symboles (). I just love the()se things xD

Taigam's Scheming is like casting Personal Tutor while your opponent has an Aven Mindcensor out. It's an awful card that's on par with Index (which costs only U).
I'd rather have Augur of Bolas in my deck with delve cards, and I wouldn't cut anything to add it. That's how bad Taigam's Scheming is...it doesn't even compete with a card I would never add to my deck.
Considering fetch lands, pain lands, tri lands, and Mana Confluence in Standard, it's absolutely valid to compare the shitty Taigam's Scheming to Commune with the Gods and Satyr Wayfinder.
This shouldn't even be a topic up for discussion. Shitty cards are shitty and shouldn't be played unless there's nothing better to use for decks in any given format. If all you're doing is setting up delve cards, you have to consider you're playing a two card combo that doesn't get more powerful when one half of the combo is cast.

I guess that's how bad standard is from my viewpoint, the whole format is taigam's scheming bad. Standard is more of a money sink than modern, while having much less of the total viable fun decks. Even though I really think legacy and commander is where it is at anyways #shocklandssuck.

well yeah standard has always been sorta spendy for only a short time if you want the top decks, unless you go the RDW route which is almost always cheap and usually works pretty well just like modern. i usually try to play cheap cards in standard as much as possible, and do alright mostly.

Taigam's Scheming sees play in a number of grislebrand reanimator modern decks. Don't get me wrong, that's a very niche deck but you shouldn't diss a card just because it does nothing most other strategies.
As for the card in question. I can't say I'm familiar with Legacy but in modern I can't imagine this card making an impact outside of grave oriented combo decks like the aforementioned. In standard, it's probably just a really hard to cast explore.

This card does nothing for control - it is worse than dig or cruise for them.
It could impact aggro but what aggro deck can afford to spend time filling the grave for delve.
It could impact midrange but it costs 3 blue, making it very deck specific if there even is a deck for it.
In EDH you can get the same effect from a 5 mana time warp. In a format with so much viable mana ramp, is that 2 mana difference worth getting 8 cards into the grave and exiling them? Probably not, especially when you could be using your graveyard for other things. Cards are the #1 resource in EDH. Removing me from the game keeps you from manipulating them in other ways.
There may be a place for this somewhere, where it is very effective, but it is a very narrow card.

I'd recommend getting your hands on as many foils as possible. I believe this is the next Dig Through Time and the price will increase through the wall. I agree with people above any commander deck with blue will have this without hesitation (I feel the same about Clever Impersonator but that's different) I'm not joking I saw the card and came here and had the exact same idea and name for this forum lol

I'm glad I have provided such a discussion. And @SpartanCEL I'm glad you see it the same way.

No problem shepherdofire, I personally wasn't impressed or thought about Dig Through Time but look at how many make the top 8 lol. On the same discussion is Taigam's Scheming a bad card or One with Nothing? maybe but does that mean it is unplayable in all formats? No, a rakdos hellbent would appreciate a one with nothing or two same with a deck that completely utilizes the graveyard could use Taigam's Scheming for 5 cards there. Would the decks be competitive?..... probably not. Taigam's Scheming's artwork is way too cool for this lackluster of a card and so is the flavor text. Anywho interesting discussion guys +2

(Standard related comment) This won't be used in control. Calling it. UUU is expensive, as well as delve. You can only have a certain number of delve cards in your deck before they clunk your hand up and drag you down. I would rather be casting DTT 99% of the time because I'd end up playing this and then.... what? It's basically just ended up being an explore and taking a slot. Maybe it'll see play in some aggro/midrange variant, but not control imo.
