Temur mechanic, ferocious

As seen on heir of the wilds
"Ferocious, when you attack with heir of the wilds if you control a creature with power 4 or greater, heir of the wilds gets +1/+1 until end of turn"
Between this and temur ascendency it looks like temur is all about effects caused by big creatures.

Devotion to Fatties. Seems okay. Makes Polukranos, World Eater better and should reward ramping. I expect a burn and pump spell with this mechanic, should work well with Prowess.

Reprisal might end up being annoying for temur decks. Boon Satyr could be a reasonable way to surprise people with instant speed ferocious triggers.

You have to flash him as you declare attackers, so I don't think it will surprise many people. The trigger goes on the stack and then it checks for a creature with 4 power, then blockers can be declared.
Boon Satyr might be a better trick if it taps something down or prevents blocks or gives trample. But I can't say that I'm not excited to saddle up for Temur. Garruk's Packleader and Roaring Primadox are something to think about, not too much though.

I also found them say this in the article.
"Instants and sorceries with ferocious abilities check if you control a creature with power 4 or greater as they resolve. If the ferocious ability says "instead," that effect will replace some or all of the normal effect of that instant or sorcery. If it doesn't say 'instead,' the effect of the ferocious ability happens in addition to the spell's normal effect."
So we can expect ferocious to act a lot like metalcraft and might gave effects like spells drawing extra cards or dealing more damage.

Looks to be variable like Raid rather than a fixed +1/+1 until EOT like Prowess. Could have some interesting effects... Card draw? Token production?
