The Future of Narset?

It seems to me in this article that Narset has a planeswalker spark, perhaps soon to ignite. Is anybody excited for a Narset planeswalker? Her inquiries into the history of Ugin and Bolas are rather intriguing. What do you think she will find out about them? Also, what do you think about the ancient scribblings that could not be translated? Do you think it has something to do with the disappearance of Ugin? Finally, I think it is known that Bolas claimed to have killed Ugin, but do you think he really did? I feel like something else may have happened that left Bolas thinking he had killed Ugin. Obviously, only time will tell, but I would like to hear from the T/O community on the subject

What if she figures out how to go back in time. Sarkhan sort of wants to end the fighting, so maybe she goes with sarkhan to the past, and therefore remains unchanged after fate reforged

I thought the same thing when I read her intro in the fat pack. My one reason for thinking we won't get a narset walker is simply balance. If they (jeskai) are the only clan to get a dedicated walker it would unbalance khans. I'm not speaking from a card standpoint but more from lore.
However, the jeskai with their whole monk/meditation lifestyle would be the most likely clan to have a walker.
As for your Ugin theory. You bring a very viable and interesting point of view. Is Ugin really dead? Tomb of the Spirit Dragon seems to suggest he is but maybe that's where the time travel aspect comes into play. In addition to the fighting prevention of course. But as Ugin was one of the walkers to trap the Eldrazi (I just recently learned about the lithomancer nahiri) it seems plausible that him being brought back via time magic would be very plausible. After all Sarkhan seems to think Ugin's ghost/spirit has been calling out to him. This could very well prove true. Good eye CommanderOfBolas

I don't think the lack of balance lore wise should be a problem. they only had 3 guild walkers from ravnica (Ral Zarek , Domri Rade , Vraska the Unseen ). Im really liking the idea of a Narset walker. Also, swkelly89, that 3 colored pw could be Nicol Bolas

Bellock86 - So Ugin is definitely dead, that's what Ugin's Nexus
is...Ugin's bones. Bolas killed Ugin over 1000 years ago on Tarkir, and that is what caused the dragons to go extinct (We think). But, Ugin is known as the Spirit Dragon, so it's not outside the realm of possiblities that Ugin could save some measure of his consciousness so it could talk to Sarkhan.
The weirdness with Narset being a new 'walker is along the lines of some heavy-handed hints, but no sure-fire answers. Similarly, my concern is with the time-travel story. And while I don't think Narset will travel with Sarkhan, I wonder if we'll see a "new" Narset as a PW in "Louie".

I'm thinking the plot will become something similar to Eragon after Fate Reforged ...

If Narset becomes a planeswalker in the third set, she'll probably drop one of her colors ( seems most fitting). If there is a three color planeswalker in this block, Ugin or Bolas make most sense

Well Ugin wouldn't make sense because he specializes in colorless magic (see Ghostfire and Ghostfire Blade ).

He could still be classified as colorless, like in the Ghostfire example.
I could easily see his CMC being to mirror Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker and having a line stating 'Ugin is colorless' in the text box.

Why do that, though? they didn't do it with Karn Liberated . He doesn't specialize in any color, so it wouldn't make sense to attach a color to him. Also, Nicol Bolas is an elder dragon, the last one remaining. He is the most powerful individual in the universe, so I doubt we will ever see a planeswalker mirror him in anyway.

Karn is an artifact creature. It makes sense for him to be templated like other artifact creatures. Attaching Ugin to colored mana symbols makes as much sense as doing it with Ghostfire . That seems to be the plausible template for a future Ugin card.
Now mirroring Bolas is purely speculation. We don't know much about Ugin, right (I don't really follow the lore)? Just that he's a spirit dragon (whatever that means) who might be from the future, was involved with sealing the Eldrazi, and was in some sort of battle with Bolas 1000 years ago.

Well the point of Ghostfire being colorless was because it gets around protection from red, giving red decks some answers. it still has the red mana symbol because it was meant for red decks and being completely colorless would be way too strong

Yeah, I understand the gameplay reasons for it having a mana symbol. Still, it sets a precedent for a future Ugin card. I think it'd be more surprising if there isn't a colored symbol in Ugin's CMC.

There is a lot of talk about a Narset PW, and I'm on board with the theories. The only weirdness is, what happens when we come back to the "present" after Fate Reforged? Will Narset be unchanged? Will the new Narset have ignited her spark? Will she base or will she be base due to the shift in time? There are too many questions with this block for us to know for sure.
