I've been wondering about this since khans came out and was said to have a dragon theme. What if, in the last set, Wizards reprinted the Planar Chaos legendary dragon cycle. I mean, they're dragons and they're the clan colors! What more could you want!? Please tell me why or why not you think this could happen.
For those who don't know they are as follows:Oros, the Avenger
And
plus the planar chaos dragons are on dominaria, so unless they figured out how to planeswalk, they wouldnt be on tarkir

we want more dragons not reprints ;-) another selection of legendary or at least awesome dragons would be gravy. Or (even though it got suggested on a different thread) a 5 colour legendary dragon. That shit would be immense, although I would love a colourless legendary dragon tbh, or one that is colourless but is all 5 colours, like Ghostfire like how people thought Ugin might be. I know we already have a 5 colour legendary dragon, so freakin what. Poxy slivers get 4 choices! Dragons are more widely adopted and liked IMO and should get the love, IN A DRAGON SET TOO!

I very much doubt it. Only because
A) the abilities don't really fit tarkir. Or at least the way each clan represents. Vorosh for example is +1/+1 counter oriented which is an Abzan thing but Vorosh is BUG of course
B) why use something old that doesn't fit, when you can make something new and fun.
Just my view of course.

Yeah, like the above said, different abilities and from a different plane. Teo major problems.

Those dragons belong to a different plane. I believe we will get a lot of new Dragons including a cycle of enemy colored dragons. With enemy fetches

It's been said before, but I'll parrot it.
These are Dominarian dragons.

Some new multi-colored dragons, legendary or not would be nice. I have a feeling Wizards is going to try to spread the dragons among the five colors for the next set, otherwise most of the rare and mythic rare slots in red would get filled up. I wouldn't be too surprised if they reprint Scion of the Ur-Dragon in the last set though. I could see Sarkhan summoning it to battle Nicol Bolas.

Scion of the Ur-Dragon is "the blood of the ur-dragon, coursing through ALL dragonkind" so I can see him being reprinted but I'd rather see a new dragon as well as a - colorless ledgedary dragon

Maybe they give him a new version rather than a reprint, that would be pretty sweet

Has everyone all but forgotten the orginals? Crosis, the Purger , Treva, the Renewer , Rith, the Awakener . Dromar, the Banisher and Darigaaz, the Igniter are the best imo

No one has forgotten them they are just A: the wrong "wedge" colors and B: wrong plane

@Boza- It is HEAVILY rumored that Dragons will be Wedge again. Wizards has been hinting for months that the clans are purposefully centered on the wrong colors in Khans and "Its really wierd that they are not focused on the correct color". They only said it is not a wedge block. No where have I seen anything that "the 3rd set is n Wedge".
As for reprints of the Wedge dragons I dont believe so. I do agree with Boza that they do not match the clan mechanics, also from a flavor perspective they do not match the 5 different broods of dragons at all.
and finally I agree with K34 that the tone of certain individuals need to stop getting emotional about their answers and try to please make only comments in polite and scholarly tones.

FaustHarbinger, your first point is good, but I remember seeing somewhere that drafting Khans and DoT together would be an awful experience. Although I can see a possibly negative draft result if the clans in DoT had their colours focused differently (Mardu focused on White, Temur focus on Blue etc.) like 'true' wedges, you could still draft the two together and have a reasonable result, because the actual colours wouldn't be changing

My guess is that it'll shift to a mono colored set. And that is why we had hybrid mana in frf

It was mono colored in frf with the exception of 2 cycles..
Boza says... #2
For the milionth time, only Khans is focused on Wedge. Did you see a single tri color card in the whole of FRF? Nope. Plus, these do not match at all what the clan does:
Mardu is centered on red, yet Oros kills non-white dudes (racism in dragon form).
Intet is the closest one, having something similar to manifest, but we will likely get an evolved form of morph rather than an evolved form of manifest.
Reanimation is not really the focus of the Abzan, Teneb feels more sultai.
Numot has nothing to do with the Jeskai.
Vorosh is more Abzan than Sultai. Plus, we also got a fairly close reprint of him in Dromoka, the Eternal.
