Thoughtseize about to go up in price?

I just looked at the M15 spoilers and noticedthe distinct lack of Duress . In my opinion, that card has kept Thoughtseize a reasonable price since they're almost the same card. With the former being gone, are we going to see the latter jump in price since it'l be the only card that can do what it does now?
Thoughtseize is absurdly underpriced for how good it is, so I'll be surprised if it doesn't rise.

I wouldn't be so concerned with an average card like Waste Not increasing its price as I would the fact that Thoughtseize is used in every format.
I don't think Duress was necessarily keep the price down as Thoughtseize has always been stronger and more prevalent.

I'm not convinced that it will go up significantly. Price is determined by supply and demand, not how good a card is (tho that can certainly impact the demand).
Supply-wise, Thoughtseize is only a rare and is also a reprint, which puts a relatively low ceiling on it.
Demand-wise, nothing in M15 seems to noticeably impact its popularity in non-Standard formats, meaning that if it is to see an increase in price, it will be due to skyrocketing use in Standard. However, it is already played in the most popular decks in Standard (MBD and Esper) as well as many other decks that play Black, so there doesn't seem to be much room for it to go up. According to mtgtop8.com, 38% of Standard decks in their database use Thoughtseize with an average of 3.7 copies. I can't see Black being so dominant that it's used in half of the decks in the format.

Asking if Thoughtseize will go up in price is like asking if CVS sells condoms. The answer is obviously yes.

Economics?
But yes. Sell your wife and keep humping that playset. It will be worth it.

With the impending death of MBD as we know it due to rotation destroying 3/4 of their usual creatures, it might see a small lapse in play while people are figuring out how to rebuild MBD.

Why are you guys so focused on Devotion? All Golgari/Junk/Jund/Bug midrange builds and all even partially black control decks will have for 3 or 4 copies.
Also, black aggro is bonkers in block already, so that deck will continue to see play.

What TexasDice said.
I also want to point out this card is used in every format and it used to be a $60 card. Standard probably has the least amount of impact on its price.

Standard has the largest impact on quick price changes. Cards like that don't come around often though. Plan on it staying a 15+ dollar card through out the remainder of it's stay in standard. Might go higher once theros is out of draft and sealed. Then once it hits rotation the creep begins.

Just a note, the price is largely determined by how good it is. Yes, supply and demand matter, but given how cards are printed, the supply is mostly even all around per rarity. As such, it's not supply and demand, but rather just demand as the supply is steady. Demand, of course, is usually based on how good a card is.
Anyway, I dunno what to think anymore. It's a big deal in Standard where there aren't many similar cards. Of course, there may be things happening I'm not taking into consideration yet.

While Thoughtseize is still in standard it will hover around the 14-18 dollar range. Too many copies of it floating around for it to hit 20+. While said, once it rotates out of standard in October 2015 the price will go up to around 20-30 dollars after a while. It is a card that is played in alot of formats. It is cheap a great turn 1 spell, and is never going to become a Bad card because it costs 1 mana.

Duress could still see a reprint in Khans. I would honestly be surprised if it doesn't. And Thoughtseize might go up anyway because of Waste Not .
