What time period is Mtg In? Do you think it could ever be in post-modern timezone

Since it's in its own dimension, our view of time is irrelevant.

yea thats kind of s silly/redundant question. It has to connection our idea of modern. There could be some futuristic type stuff involved at some point sure, but its not like hey mtg is based entirely in the bronze age or some shit like that. It is it's own universe. And the universe revolves around "magic" instead of technology, so we don't really know what that would turn into in their future. BTW "timezone" is totally the wrong phrase. I'm in the Eastern Standard Time Zone. Try Post Modern Time Period.

I always thought of it like this - in a world where magic exists there isn't really a need for what we would think of as "modern technology."

So we may see that someday, but I don't really see that there is a need for it in this universe.

Rocket Launcher ...

But Mirrodin is probably the closest we'll get to a 'sci-fi' world, which I'm assuming is what is meant by 'future world' in this thread.

I dunno, I think Phyrexia (the old) is pretty close to our imaging of a dystopian mechanical future.
