I'm really psyched for this guy.

Flitterstep Eidolon , though an uncommon, is strictly better. This card is good and will definitely be a limited pick. Blue's in a really decent state there. I'd likely pick into it because of how fought over white can be. You just end up not having enough resources to work with.

You wouldn't take that in limited unless you could build around it - which is dependant on your picks. If your picks are good then yeh, he can be great, but otherwise meh.

TheDevicer, it is by no means strictly better. Without even considering the extra mana, the creature type is 1000% more relevant.

Yeah, i'd say that those two cards are on about equal level. The latter is more useful late game, but dies to Revoke Existence and isn't a merfolk.

I'm not terribly excited for this thing, because i'm not a fish player, but I could see its merits.

I wasn't thinking about mefolk here at all. I honestly don't care about fish and though only in terms of limited play. The enchantment typing is a double edged sword. It gives access to the bestow and procs things like Constellation. Flitterstep's just slightly more relevant later on. If I could drop something like a Thassa's Emissary on either one of these, I'd be a very happy camper. The bestow on both of those is less than ideal, but it's still cool. I just like the access to the bestow.

I think that in MODERN fish it may see play over Cursecatcher , because cursecatcher is generally pretty weak in the deck.

I'm looking forward to another unblockable 1 drop for my Sygg, River Cutthroat EDH.

You know I really needed a one drop for my Izzet merfolk heroic tempo deck. :))

For fish i think Cosi's Trickster is better. I'm looking at rogues for this guy. Prowl has some outstanding cards like Morsel Theft , and now that Bitterblossom is back and Invisible Stalker exists, this is brilliant. Dimir Gone Rogue potentially just got an extra tool.
