Storyline (from what I've heard): Bolas did kill Ugin, he did it on Tarkir. After Sarkhan breaks free from Bolas' grasp, he travels to Tarkir to find Ugin, only to find his remains. Sorin is on Tarkir for the same reason, except he wants to solve th Eldrazi conflict as well. So it looks like this time travel should take us back to when Ugin was alive so Sarkhan and Sorin can save him.

Is it just me, or does Bitter Revelation have just about the greatest flavor text ever?

"Here you lie then, Ugin. The corpses of worlds will join you in the tomb."

Sorin is one poetic motherfucker man...almost all of his quotes are the best.

The entire KoT block is basically a build up to the return of the Eldrazi.

Think about it...

GoldGhost012: I was just reading all the flavor texts, myself. I feel so hyped for this set. I'm finding myself enjoying the lore of things more and more. It's like watching an amazing film.

Here's my prediction, in the second set, Fate Reforged, Sarkhan and Sorin go back in time to stop Bolas from killing Ugin, and are successful. As a result, the third set will become an alternate reality in which everything is different since Ugin lives. And thus the Eldrazi conflict will build.

VampireArmy, Ugin is colorless.

GoldGhost012 says... #14

VampireArmy, Ugin should either be colorless or red with a colorless focus (Ghostfire ).

Spootyone, I actually may have to bite the metaphorical bullet and actually buy the ebooks that come out with this set, I'm that excited.

golffore297, that's a pretty sound theory, but I don't think that even together Sorin and Sarkhan could take on Bolas, so my money's just on a younger Ugin that gets pulled from time.

Maybe not the two of them by themselves, but possibly working with Ugin they would have a good chance.

That's whats so great. It has us even contemplating the death of Bolas, which is outstandingly absurd. I think they will interfere just enough to save Ugin, and leave Bolas alive. My question is will the time travel be linear or will it create alternate realities?

Just google any character or plane and you'll get a lot of info. But, the books are your best bet. I started with "The Thran" and "Brother's War" which if you want to know about Yawgmoth, Urza, and Mishra are necessary.
