Ulamog Planeswalker?

I know, dumb idea. Yet I think in the next block Ulamog will become a Planeswalker. Yes he can travel the Bling Eternity's, yet that does not exclude him.
Theirs only a few requirements To become a Planeswalker... Ill just put the Wiki to this part."When that being is put through a period of extreme stressin many cases deaththe spark can trigger, causing the individual to ascend and become a planeswalker."
Ulamog is beaten to a inch of his life, he is about to fall. I'm no expert on the Lore with Magic (Lots of info for a late comer) yet I would probably bet that No Eldrazi has ever been been to a inch of their life. Ulamog might spark and be a mirror to Ugin in the lore.
Ugin is all about Magic in its purest form. Ulamog would be devouring mana regardless of where it came from. Two sides to the colorless coin.
Its just a Theory... a Magic Theory! Thanks for reading.

Pretty sure Wizards said there wasn't going to be any Eldrazi Planeswalkers. That and the flavor text on Aligned Hedron Network shows Ulamog getting locked away

Darkmagi1131Ya on the card. In the book that comes with the fat pack it talks about how Ob Nixilis ruines the plan. How the goal is not to lock Ulamog away, but to kill him. Also, Wizards said they would never print Planeswalkers as well. There is a loop hole in every thing.
October 6, 2015 8:31 p.m.
They said they weren't going to make Planeswalkers years before they actually did.
They said they weren't making any Eldrazi 'Walkers, like, last month. Both Oath and the next set are already printed, so I doubt they'd just be lying.

Izzy_The_Battle_Mage In the last Zendikar block Eldrazi were confirmed to not be capable of having a spark.
Eldrazi are beings made of AEther. They live in the space between planes. Their physical bodies are just constructs. This is why they could never be "defeated" because they would just manifest their consiousness again. This is why they were locked away. Killing them would release them back to the AEther. Because they lack actual bodies they cannot have a spark.
Second, they said that they would never print creatures to represent planeswalkers. (Such as a legendary creature that is Urza) They haven't broken that rule. Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir is before his spark was ignited. (Same with all of the origins walkers, it's all pre-spark.) There is no creature in MTG that represents a planeswalker with an ignited spark. Anyone who's spark was ignited is represented with an actual planeswalker.

"I would probably bet that No Eldrazi has ever been been to a inch of their life."
I mean, Drana, Gideon, and Nissa/Ashaya have killed Eldrazi. Gideon seems like the kind of guy who'd beat an eldrazi within an inch of their life

scopesightzx Gideon is a downright badass. I love that they made him W's new flagship planeswalker. So good.

Ohthenoises That's some new information I did not have before. I Would have to think on that for some time.
scopesightzx They killed the Eldrazi spawn, not the Eldrazi. Still I agree with Gideon, he has done this at the end of Battle of Zendikar

Well, Elsbeth is dead so the had to come up with something.

Coinman1863 Elspeth died on Theros so her spirit is still hanging around. (owned, in this case, by Erebos, God of the Dead.)
They could bring her back any time they wanted technically. Escape from the underworld, raised by Erebos as a pet, etc.

Ohthenoises Wait... so doesn't that make her have no body... Like the Eldrazi?

Izzy_The_Battle_Mage Correct, she is confirmed to no longer have her spark when we left theros.

It just doesn't work flavorwise since the eldrazi is a "higher form of being" and existed before mending. Since they can already traverse planes through the blind eternities it doesn't make sense from a design stand point. Additionally, in the UR when we first meet the eldrazi, they are described as a harsh light or pure mana and the physical form we see is us just trying to make sense of what we see. With that said, you wouldn't be able to just kill them the conventional way

Ohthenoises im pretty sure Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir was after his spark ignited, same with Venser, Shaper Savant

swkelly89 I'm sure that Teferi is pre-spark, venser I'm not sure, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that was pre-spark as well.

Ohthenoises Ok, so she lost her spark. Also taking into account of what julianjmoss says... we need to ask ourselfs. If the Eldrazi existed before the Mending, how did the mending effect the Eldrazi. After all it did effect every one in the Multiverse.
Also, TheDevicer Thank you for the clarification.

the teferi planeswalker is premending and basically gave up his spark to actually mend everything. Or something along those lines. The creature cards flavor text alludes to this.
October 6, 2015 10:46 p.m.
Pretty sure all Legendary Creatures that are of known planeswalkers are pre-spark. Almost positive when a planeswalker gives up their spark (like Teferi did for the mending, and Venser did for Karn), they die. Not 100% sure on that but it makes sense.

Ohthenoises - cough Xenagos, God of Revels cough
As far as the OP, I'll direct you here and here, and here for good measure.

The Ulamog seen on Zendikar is only a manifestation of the true Ulamog.
He is not on Zendikar, but rather he is essentially 'reaching into' Zendikar. - If the Ulamog on Zendikar were able to gain a spark, it would be like a humans pinky finger being able to gain a spark, rather than the human.
It would also be little like one of Jace's illusions being able to gain a spark.

JWiley129 As the lore states, Xenagos lost his spark when he ascended to godhood, also, the gods of theros are kind of like the eldrazi in that their bodies are physical manifestations of their consciousness.
October 7, 2015 9:01 a.m.
Ohthenoises - That's false. Xenagos still had his spark when he became a God. Here is where Doug Beyer confirms that fact.
October 7, 2015 9:08 a.m.
Ohthenoises says... #29
JWiley129 That says nothing about his spark..... Just that he's a "planeswalker".
That could mean that his spark is suspended until he resumes his mortal form.
Either way, it doesn't really matter. The point is that Eldrazi cannot be planeswalkers.
October 7, 2015 9:36 a.m.
Ohthenoises - If Xenagos is still a planeswalker while a God, why wouldn't he have a spark? That makes no sense. We didn't call Ob Nixilis, the Fallen a planeswalker, but now we can because of Ob Nixilis Reignited. I'd like to see your source that Xenagos doesn't have his spark while he is a god. Because so far all you've said is "the lore said so", without citing the passage where that is confirmed.
But yes, Eldrazi definitely can't have sparks and won't have planeswalker cards b/c they can already walk the planes.

It doesn't add up for me. I don't think it makes sense.
