Decent art, but i wont play them. Looks like they are completely borderless, not even the usual black border. Too bad, they will not look like magic cards, and they will appear larger than the other cards in the deck. Like a nail in my eye. Too bad :(
I have a mighty need for those lands in all my EDH decks.

Really? I think they will look wierdly big, like they are from another game. Im all for mixing up the frame for stuff like this, but removing the black border will just make them look misplaced. Ive played with borderless proxies before, they look horrible :(.

But those were proxies. Proxies aren't printed professionally (generally) and almost always look worse. These'll probably look dope my dude.

dbpunk I know, the print quality bothered me but the no-border style killed me. No other magic card in history has messed with the border, and removing it just made the card look bigger than every other card in the deck, and the (non existing) border seemed just... wrong. Im having a hard time with white borders (tho I have to play them since i cant afford black border ABURs), but no border is much worse as the characteristics of a basic magic card is gone. The best way i can describe it is awkwardly big, it feels misplaced.

None. They suck.
(im very negative about these lands for not having a border, if you couldn't tell :)
Jokes aside, I will give them a chance, but im very sceptical :)

All I can say is I will be saving up for a large stock of them for my decks

Doesn't the lack of a border make them illegal in tournament play?

People have been begging for a new Unset for years now, so I doubt this is the only way to sell it. It's kind of tradition now for the Unsets to have beautiful, yet wacky, full art lands. The set is also going to have foil tokens, so there's another selling point. I know I'd loooooooove me some foil squirrel tokens :)

DarkMagician I believe the lands regardless of border are considered tourney legal because they are alternate basic lands. The rest of the set will not be legal.

Apparently the rules were changed, it use to be cards had to sport a white or black border to be tournament legal. In April they changed it to non-silver bordered cards. In case anybody else was curious.

And have a Magic Deckmaster back, so the world champions decks aren't legal

I personally love the full art no matter which set they came from. I personally wish duel lands like Dragonskull Summit, Rootbound Crag, etc. had full art variations.

@DarkMagician: I'm assuming gold-bordered cards, too? I'm guessing they were implied to be included, but it'd be pretty lulzy if WotC made that rules change to say "non-silver bordered cards" and forgot they had gold-bordered cards out there and cards with square corners.

@sylvannos Gold bordered cards are illegal due to their backs not being the typical deckmaster back so the ruling on borders didn't need to cover them.

@DarkMagician: Ah okay. I just didn't know if they scrapped all the old rules and just said "All non-silver bordered cards are legal" or if they added that line to what's already there.
Just some wishful thinking! XD

I want a 100 of each. I never want to play with any other Basics ever again
