The New Banned and Restricted Announcements is in 3 days! On monday!!!!!
Any guesses on bannings and unbannings?Discuss! Speculate!
My guesses:
Eye of Ugin and Eldrazi Temple will be banned.
no idea on other bannings and unbannings though.

I think they will hit eye, cause 3 Eldrazi Mimic t1 into TNS t2, into swing for 12 is not fun in any format.

Eye has been proven to be the obviously superior card, and it's likely to be the sole card in the deck to get axed. They always axe the engine of a deck, and eye is a good draw on turn one or turn eight. Temple will always do the same thing, so provide two mana. It's a good card, but it's not broken. Eye is super high variance, where it can be a little bit bad because it's a dead card in your hand, or it can be the best card in the deck because it made 6 mana by turn two and will keep giving you value on like turn 6.
Otherwise, it's unclear what will get banned / unbanned because we don't know exactly how WotC thinks yet.

Happy April fools day! They only ban the key cards from broken decks, so eye of ugin would do, but hopefully they won't

They won't hit both lands, as Aaron Forsythe said he'd like the deck to exist but not be as powerful as it is. I'm leaning towards Eye of Ugin, however there is splash damage on Tron and other control lists that use it for inevitability.
As far as other bans/unbans, I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Modern Unban. Don't know what, but I don't think it'll be Splinter Twin. Wizards needs more data on what Twin-less Modern looks like after the Eldrazi are gone. I also feel like Dark Petition is potentially a card that could get banned in Legacy or restricted in Vintage. What the card does as a 4-of in those formats is ridiculous. "Yeah, I'll go tutor for my Yawgmoth's Will and cast it for 
with three Dark Rituals in my graveyard and my Black Lotus. No biggie."

You know what? I hope that Wizards ban both lands. In Modern and in Legacy. I'm so sick and tired of seeing nothing but these fucking Eldrazi decks everywhere I go.
On a more positive note, I'm excited for a Ancestral Vision or a Stoneforge Mystic unban.

This happens everytime. After the ban, there will subsequently be 5+ threads about ZOMG THEY BANNED X and Y. THE WORLD IS ENDING.
For real though, Eye of Ugin gets banned. Tron players can suck it up and live on. It's not like they are taking away your T3 Karn.

Yeah I really don't understand the argument for Tron.
I hear tron players at the shop all the time "IF THEY BAN EYE IT HURTS TRON!"
What? You don't get to play a turn 6 Emrakul, the Aeons Torn after you've already windmill slammed a turn 3 Wurmcoil Engine and turn 4 Karn Liberated??
BOOHOO!
Tron will be fine. It's still full of garbage. You can still ramp into Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Emrakul, the Aeons Torn faster than most decks in Modern...

SimonCalabuig - Blazing Shoal has been banned in Modern for almost as long as Modern's been a format. It really makes Infect hard to beat.

Banned: Eye of Ugin, Simian Spirit Guide
Unbanned: Dig through Time

Didn't read the whole thread so if someone already said this I apologize.
But instead of screaming ban hammer for eldrazi lands why not remove that which gives it such explosive starts sometimes.
That is to say instead of nerfing the deck almost completely, which I feel banning one if the lands would, ban Eldrazi Mimic.
The deck is still tier 1 material but stops killing on turn 3 potentially.
Thoughts?
Note* I don't actively play modern IRL but like to homebrew my own stuff and play it out on untap and the like. I will get into it one day. I've been following it pretty closely for the last year or so

I don't think both Eldrazi lands will get banned... One of them will, but I would imagine they'll try to slow the deck down before killing it outright.
