XBGUSorceryTarget opponent exiles the top X cards of his or her library. You may cast any number of nonland cards with converted mana cost X or less from among them without paying their mana costs.
"Gold buys death. Death earns gold."
Scary shit.

This card intrigues me greatly... Is it a good control finisher? Is it too janky? Hard to say...

I'm quite a fan of the concept. I had to reread it to make sure it didn't have Delve or if it really did say "nonland cards". You know, to make sure it wasn't completely and utterly game winning. The issue of course is that it's damnable expensive to get any real benefit: I mean 7 mana for 4 cards that might be 4 mana or less do not give very good odds that it'll be worth it.
And that is too bad. I was beginning to wonder about a Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and Villainous Wealth theme deck before I considered the mana cost.

I'm looking at this card and thinking "there is green, and if there is green, there is mana" I've seen plenty of mono green splash color decks that can generate 30 mana no sweat. This card is busted at single x cost to take my stuff from me!

slightly off topic, thanks for the quick how to sylvannos
yeah, if you go full ramp this card becomes much more viable. Hmm, what kind of deck would work with, say, the ramp package of Sylvan Caryatid and Kiora's Follower or Elvish Mystic (and Courser of Kruphix of course) along with this card and other sultai colors? That might be interesting to experiment with.

I think wizards are doing great with flavor texts in this set. This one is amazing, both card and flavor.

Cool card. I want to see it cast at pre-release. It's the kind of card that puts new players on tilt.

Well now this card is just amusing it seems pretty unusable in most formats but in EDH it just seems funny... going infinite + this.

well in commander throw the opponent's commander on top of their deck then cast this for X= commander's CMC.
in standard this is janky but wit ramp the way it is in standard (caryatid, courser, wedgestones, mystic, kiora's follower, nissa) this could be cool to play. if I was going to play standard and had money for a 3-color mana base, I would try to make this work.

Ho..ly..shitballs. I want. Totally could do a sultai steal-to-stuff deck now. Ashiok, this, the new clone. Too bad Unexpected Results is leaving us otherwise that would be a BLAST

sylvannos: Oh, thanks man.... anaaand I just realized that I forgot to shout you out in that thread. Now I am teh sads. Sorry, you've been real good to me :c
On the subject of the card itself, this may come in handy far more often in standard than you'd think, thanks to the rising popularity of Courser of Kruphix (which itself is seeing sharp price increases due to the fetchlands reprint, for obvious reasons.)
Against Courser decks, you can actually see the first card you get, so it could function as less of a "genesis wave for 5 and hope I get something good" and more of a "Oh, yeah I'll be playing that revealed Nissa, Worldwaker of yours for 4, kthnxbai"
By that token however, your opponent could theoretically tap a fetch in response, shuffling his library. I really like this card, it opens up a whole bunch of interesting interactions.

So lets think about this card for EDH...
Say someone has infinite mana... and they play this card... X=more than the cards in your library.
It's like Blue Sun's Zenith , but you play their entire library FOR FREE... WHAT.

@asasinater13.... I don't know if that works.
You put their Commander on top... check.
You cast this... check.
When this resolves, it exiles their Commander... they choose to put their commander into their Command Zone instead of Exile.
You now have one less cards to play for the X casting cost.

note... If they choose to let it exile, expecting to to be cast... you leave it there. Commander is gone for good.

Yep, gonna try to make this a thing with another janky, never used in standard/modern/legacy card: Kruphix, God of Horizons

This card looks pretty nasty. I haven't liked many of the Sultai cards (basically just the delve Murder and the charm), but this thing definitely seems standard playable to me.

@slovakattack: Hahaha it's fine. All of us default blue names look alike. That's one of the downsides to not having avatars on this site....sometimes you just don't recognize people's posts.

You know, this just kind of hit me, does the opponent get to see what cards were exiled? If they don't, this has the potential for some serious mind games.

Cards are exiled face up unless stated otherwise.

Basically a Genesis Wave that uses your opponents deck. Pretty nice.
