Was I Freaking Right?

I'm a little bit pumped right now. When magic orgins was announced I posted on the forum that I thought the planeswalkers would start as legendary creatures and then somehow transform into planeswalkers symbolizing their spark igniting. Nobody really said anything about my speculation and everyone else i told about it shot the idea down. Today, which is probably really late, I saw a liliana being released in origins that transforms into a planeswalker...was I right? Is this a legit card?

Yes, it's the real deal. The 5 planeswalker characters in Origins are DFCs with business on the front and party on the back. You weren't the only one thinking this but you also weren't the only one shot down about it. I think it's a really great idea, and the best way to tell the story in a single card.

Yeah I should I have clarified that I likely wasn't the only one to speculate that. Not trying to toot my hotn, just making sure it was legit. Hell yeah

I think I predicted that would be the case as well. I even predicted that liliana would transform when something died.

Rhadamanthus and yeah, I love the idea! It really is a great idea to tell their story. Just the idea of a creature turning into a planeswalker is cool, too. They should attract a lot of attention.

@ChiefBell actually thats Lily flavor, lol, considering her spark ignited when she couldn't save her brother and turned him into a zombie..... and that's why you get a zombie when she flips.

My favorite part about this is the fact that a planeswalker can be your commander.

Yeah, at least lili, will help both those formats. Gideon is going to be the white one, right? I'm interested to see what they do with his and chandra.

Yep. It's supposed to be Liliana, Nissa, Jace, Chandra, and Gideon.
Jace is tricky... from what I've been told, he was tricked by his mentor, and didn't even know he was a PW for a while, and then after discovering it, he wiped his own memory. - No idea for this. - Will probably be an obligatory "when a spell is countered", or "if you have ~some number~ of Instant and/or Sorcery cards in your graveyard."
Chandra witnessed her family and entire village being killed in a fire she created... but that didn't ignite her spark, until she was sentenced to death... - So, I'm guessing hers will simply be a "If she would die..." replacement.
I'm going to do a bit of reading on Gideon and Nissa to see what might trigger their 'spark'/'transformation'.

You weren't the only one who speculated Planeswalker flip cards. Still, can be very awesome (and another way to get a Planeswalker as your commander! Sorta)
And yes, the card's been spoiled for about a week.
