To be honest, I'm not exactly hyped about the idea of Khans. Do you like it? A simple "Yes" or "No" in the comments will do. I just want to know who agrees with me or not.

@Rhinowarrior: Do you know why everyone began pointing out that we haven't seen the spoilers? It is because Scorprix was comparing a set that we know almost nothing about to Kamigawa. how can you make an honest comparison between 2 sets with out knowing the contents of one? the idea is laughable. Also, what is wrong with maintaining a neutral view on it? I suppose we could attempt to judge it from a flavor perspective, but again, that is the only way to judge it right now. Even if we did attempt to judge it there, we don't really know the story behind the set. it is all speculation right now. all we know is that the set has Mongolian influences. I, for one, am going to hold off judgement until we know about the set. it seems asinine to judge any earlier

If I heard correctly, this set was created bottom-up, meaning that flavour was the last thing on their mind. In other words, it was the complete opposite of how they created Innistrad. To judge this set on the flavour is the wrong way to go, because this is not what they are going for here.
Personally, I think they have missed the mark on their blocks the past couple of years. Innistrad was the peak of all that is awesome, but then RTR to me was just okay, and Theros I think was a dud. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of cool cards in both sets but nothing overly exciting.
I'm not really liking the flavour so far, as I feel it's worse than the story/flavour of Shards of Alara, but we have to see how the set plays mechanically before we judge it. I'm not excited for Morph as I played it when it was in Onslaught and didn't like it then, but give Wizards credit and hope they make it more interesting this time around. Plus, Shards I thought was a pretty great block, so let's hope we get another one like that.

Thanks Femme Fatale for the article!
I just read it, and I am extremely... happy!
You might think I'm crazy but I used to live in a world of magic where Aggro, Control, and Combo formed a rock-paper-scissors style equilibrium where Control beats Combo because it can remove its key pieces, Combo beats Aggro because Aggro hasn't killed by the time the Combo gets off, and Aggro beats Control because Aggro squeezes past Control's defenses. Well, I would like to see Control get nerfed a bit and Combo get helped a LOT more in standard. (There are currently 0 commonly played competitive combo decks.)
I'm tired of exploiting the system and playing a douchey control deck because it wins rather than playing a fun combo deck that also wins. WOTC, PLEASE GIVE US JOHNNIES A COMPETITIVE COMBO DECK. PLEASE.

I don't find control to be that overbearing right now. It has a couple of power cards that make it a viable archetype, but it's not dominating standard or anything.
This looks like it'll encourage more midrange decks than anything else (not that there's anything wrong with midrange).

A lot if people keep on equating Khans to Kamigawa ONLY BASED ON JESKAI ARTWORK.
"LOOK LOOK THE BUILDING IN THE BACKGROUND LOOKS CHINESE, ITS KAMIGAWA!!"
Way to jump to conclusions before we know what cards we'll be getting.
Kamigawa was obviously very unpopular and I don't think WotC is dumb enough to not learn from that.

All in all I'm excited for Khans, mostly because wedge. I'm always excited for new cards.

I love the idea of a multicolored set. I unfortunately missed out on the fun in the Alara Block but after seeing the whole set I fell in love with it. Also, all of my decks in every format (commander, standard, and modern) are 3 color so this is very appropriate.
So yes, im very pumped for Khans.

It is a bit shortsighted to say that the mechanics and inner workings of a block will resemble another solely based on the similarities in art.
Kamigawa was largely based on ancient Chinese culture, whereas Khans is based on Mongolian culture. Obviously, there will be similarities in lore and art, but you shouldn't just assume it will be a clone just because of that.
