What the Hell is Going On?

So far we have See the Unwritten , a green mythic featuring the Temur mechanic.
We have Pearl Lake Ancient, blue mythic with the Jeskai mech.
We have Empty the Pits , black mythic with Sultai mech.
Now here's where things get weird. We have a White mythic in Wingmate Roc to represent the Mardu clan....even though the base color for them is supposed to be red.
And now the kicker: What the hell is Abzan going to get? A red mythic that they can't play? I'm so confused right now...WOTC plz we need answers...
P.S. Surrak, Bearface or RIOT. Cmon guys!! >.>
All the clans so far have a mythic that corresponds with their given mechanic. Apart from wingmate roc, the color mythic chosen to represent them has been the core color of that clan (e.g. Green for Temur).
We have four of them and we are missing the red one. However, the only clan without a mythic carrying their mechanic is abzan...and theyre not even red.

Chill, dude. We also have Clever Impersonator , Sorin, Solemn Visitor , Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker , and Ugin's Nexus . We still have a few mythics to go.

There are 2 remaining mythic slots, temur's khan and abzan's mythic.
On another note, abzan is also missing their rare with a morph ability. This one has the option to be white or black as a mono color because both sultai and jeskai have a mono blue morph rare

I dont think the mythics with the mechanics you mentioned are supposed to be any sort of cycle like you presume, you have a good eye pointing it out but I believe you are looking to far into it.

Didn't you guys hear? Sorin, Solemn Visitor stepped up and volunteered to be Azban's mythic.

Im alright. Im just curious why they decided to take the route they did with these particular mythics. It seems weird that they would have two white mythics (or green or black) and it seems equally weird that they would omit a single clan from the mythic cycle, you know?

Ah okay maybe i was looking too much into it. I just saw the four of them, made the connection, and immediately was like "wait...what the hell?" Lol

I want to say the abzan mythic would be mono white, as with it's mono color morph. But that would indeed throw off the color balance other than the fact that the phoenix is a mono red mythic as is sarkan.

I'm much, much more concerned with the fact that Khans has yet to give me anything worthwhile for my blue control.

WotC has no obligation to distribute colors across rarity in perfect balance. Yes, mythic rares do tend to follow this pattern, at least for mono-colored mythics, but if you did a rarity breakdown of each set you would find that there is never an equitable distribution of color across rares/mythic rares, uncommons, and commons.
I don't have a problem with the weirdness of Mardu's mythic being white. It would be weirder if it were red with the same abilities. The problem is that it should have been red with a more aggressive set of abilities if they wanted to maintain the cycle. But, as they have no obligation to make each cycle fit every single piece of organizational minutiae, they can do whatever the hell they want.
I could care less. We're getting some kickass cards regardless of cycle and color integrity.

So they aren't doing any color specific mythics which bodes well for the Abzan mythic.
Don't know how I feel about the Hooded Hydra though. Seems good in a game that's
attrition based. I guess that's what the sultai are all about. Survival of the fittest and
no one else.

I can certainly see its uses. Let's you bring it out T4 morphed, and then T5 as a 5/5 that's resistant to removal. (Or faster with mana dorks. Swinging for 5 on T3 is possible, I suppose)
Kinda wish that its morph cost was X based though.

Why is this a big deal again?
BTW, we have a red mythic in Ashcloud Phoenix.
