What's Explorers of Ixalan going to be?

Most of us will have seen the teaser for Explorers of ixalan, so how is it going to work? It looks like will have a deck for a tribe, which will be completely normal decks. However, the bord is suspicious. My guess is that players will build the board as they go, or reveal the cards on the other side of the board tiles.

The board seems to work like this, pieces are claimed by tokens,and in some way stolen and are then flipped over, into either a event, site or quest.Events have a immediate effect, sites a beginning of upkeep, and actions a enchantment stile effect.
I am also hyped by the reprints, what with judgement and Aggravated Assault, plus a free resigur , things are looking good....

Depending on the cost of the cards would it make sense to purchase the boardgame just for the cards?
Anoyone know the retail price?

Yeah same here, those are some nice reprints but that wouldn't justify the price tag for me.
Add a few more neat alternate art cards though and I'm sold.

No idea how it'll work, and I'm more interested in the reprints anyway. Some good ones in there.
Mad that they've done a masterpiece and a supplemental set reprint of Aggravated Assault. I want it to be modern legal damnit!
