Why full leaks suck

Hi all,
as you may have heard already, the dominaria set has been leaked in full, except the artworks. Wotc has reacted the right way and released the full spoiler themselves.
In the past, I was always keen to see those leaks, simply because the spoilering speed of wotc was unbearable, and some leaks always created more excitement for the cards to come.
Compare this to beeing fed only half a spoon of food a day, with the leaks beeing a satisfying big chunk someone good-heartedly grants you.
This time, things are different. For once, this feels like someone is smashing ALL the food down your throat at once and saying "here, eat up", taking away the excitement for the next chomps completely.
I still think leaks are a good way to force wotc into action when they are beeing lazy, slow and unwilling to disclose further information.
However, leaking 100% at once just takes away the fun of checking spoiler sites every next morning and getting excited over some new cards.
Another point would be the missing artworks; in my opinion, the artwork and what the card does belongs together. Not having the artwoks makes grazing over the leaks even less exciting, so I for once only took a look at the planeswalker and some mechanics and decided to wait for the official spoilers (with the artworks) so I will atleast get some excitement out of this mess.
------,
A couple clarifications:
- It's not a full spoiler, it's only the cards for which there were specific release note. There are 269 cards in DOM and this was ~140 cards. So there are still plenty of surprises to come.
- Wizards accidentally posted this themselves: "In this case, we messed up and inadvertently let this out the door." So it's not like some of the previous (criminal) leaks.
Edit: Oops, Epidilius beat me by 15 mins. I def' should have refreshed before posting!

I am somewhat disappointed by the release notes leak, because I do enjoy the hype season that goes before a new set release. With WotC now handing out card reveals to dozens of sites I don't really think it's fair to call them lazy, I think they're doing what you would expect any company to and use the reveals to build up hype for the upcoming set. I want to try to preserve my own sense of surprise so I read the mechanics and rules updates but didn't get into the card-by-card.
I do think that admitting the mistake and owning up to it was the right move on WotC's part.

Probably depends. I like the earliest possible leaks because time is such a premium for me it allows me to deck-plan that much earlier.

I like the spoilers because it showed me some cards that I have really wanted in standard such as Goblin Warchief and Llanowar Elves. It seems that tribal will be big in standard for a while, as they spoiled a lot of lords and Tribal-synergy cards

What I like about accidental leaks is that they let the community see the cards in an unbiased way, as opposed to when wizards over hypes everything, trying to force us to like the set. This is not the best way to display the set, but it is better than them over hyping an average set, and making us face disappoint

Youre not alone. I did this exact same thing. Add the lands in that list of things I wanted to see and Im good until art comes along.

While I agree that the cards missing their art takes away from the fun, it wasn't a complete set leak. It was their set notes, which detailed about 140 cards, out of 269.
