Jaces origin is revealed. We've never seen that plane. We know Chandra's story, but we know next to nothing about her home. We're also getting PLANE CARDS!!!!!
Look at Chandra, starting off in an unknown place and going to an unknown place!

First of WE ARE GOING BACK TO DOMINARIA!!! Fuck yeah, best plane in MtG history.
I have see Chandra's first planeswalk plane on this Planechase card in DotP. What do you guys think of this supposed spoiler now that Kaladesh is comfirmed?

Also this is Jace's home plane depicted on a Planechase card.
June 3, 2015 11:30 a.m.
That's a confirmed fake Rasta_Viking29. The copyright information is just plain wrong. Woo, they got the name right, doesn't help it's still a fake.

JWiley129: "Ten planes are featured in the new cards of the set: the characters' home planes and where they go on their first planeswalk."
June 3, 2015 11:39 a.m.
Magicrafter - You and I are interpreting this differently. You think there are actual plane cards. I see this as the ten planes will be featured in names, artwork, flavor text, and so on in the set. NOT as literal cards.

Yeah I interpret it as flavorwise, ten planes will be featured such as legendary lands from the place etc

I'm glad that Chandra card is fake, it's kind of underwhelming.
June 3, 2015 12:03 p.m.
Yeah man. I was just talking about how sweet Dominaria would be as a return to set in a thread two weeks ago. Feels good. Lorwyn was another name that people kept throwing out there.

I interpret it like JWiley129. Don't think we will see cards that specifically represent each of the planes.
JWiley129 I know the cards aren't legit but getting the plane right seems significant to me. Where there is smoke there is usually fire. Kaladesh has not been mentioned before to my knowledge.
June 3, 2015 12:13 p.m.
Well, I never would have guessed that Liliana originated from Dominaria, but that is awesome.
The rest are cool. Here's hoping we get to see the other shards of Alara also (and my favorite place on the plane, The Maelstrom).
Vryn and Regatha both have a Planechase card, so Kaladesh is the only new plane. I'm stunned the one who created the fake card actually got the plane right. I wonder how they got a hold of it. For what I mean, see Trail of the Mage-Rings and Mount Keralia.

So did anyone clicky-click the link to the May 27th UR that was on the Origins page? First time I've read that. My boy Ral finally getting some more screen time. :D

canterlotguardian: bruh, that was like, last week. But, I do enjoy Ral getting some story. What if Niv discovered walkers and used some weird Izzet magic to planeswalk...
June 3, 2015 1:08 p.m.
I think it could be an awesome opportunity to introduce some new lands for each plane that have an impact on Modern and maybe Legacy.

Rasta_Viking29 is that chandra card confirmed? If so, could i have the source?
June 3, 2015 1:54 p.m.
canterlotguardian says... #26
CheeseBro yeah it's confirmed... confirmed as fake.
June 3, 2015 2:06 p.m.
ok and is there confirmation on plane cards?
The creature art of the fake chandra was nice. The planeswalker art was hideous though
June 3, 2015 2:18 p.m.
never mind about the planes i didnt see it in the uncharted realms article, but now i see it OH YEAH!
June 3, 2015 2:19 p.m.
I hope they finally add a cheap sliver draw engine so we can have finally slivers in tier 1.
June 3, 2015 3:38 p.m.
Ixidron - It's more like we're going to Dominaria for 10% of MtG Origins. I wouldn't bank on Slivers.
June 3, 2015 3:42 p.m.
Everyone knows you can't go to Dominaria without meeting the hive, you kick a stone and there is probably a sliver hiding underneath it.
June 3, 2015 3:46 p.m.

Slivers actually went extinct for quite a bit of time.
Then the Riptide Laboratory experiments happened.
Still, it would be cool to see Dominarian Slivers again, even if there are just a few.

We need a sliver tutor not stapled on a creature. Am I rite, or am I rite?
June 3, 2015 3:59 p.m.
An sliver tutor would need to cost 2 mana or be something like Green Sun's Zenith, otherwise it would be outclassed by Homing Sliver.

Evolve
As an additional cost to cast Evolve, sacrifice a Sliver or pay .
If you sacrificed a sliver as you casted Evolve, search your library for a Sliver creature card and put it onto the battlefield. Shuffle your library.
If you paid as you casted Evolve, search your library for a Sliver creature card, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Shuffle your library.
June 3, 2015 4:42 p.m.
oh, for suddenly Sliver Queen hits the board. I like it. Seems a bit OP, even with the sacrifice cost.
June 3, 2015 4:53 p.m.
Rasta_Viking29 says... #40
Evolve was the Simic ability from the RTR block.
June 3, 2015 5:01 p.m. Edited.
You can get an sliver legend in the battlefield by turn 3 with 3 lands, Gemhide Sliver and another sliver.
Affinity can have a 5/5 indestructible or a 5/5 flying in play by turn 1 and can swing for 10 by turn 2.
Reanimator decks can have an Emrakul with haste in the battlefield by turn 2.
That spell is not OP, almost every deck has several 1-2 mana removal spells in their mainboard or at least a way to deal with big creatures by turn 2-3.

FAMOUSWATERMELON says... #42
Except that in all your examples, the cards were in your hand. Being able to tutor for them, or any other answer, is incredibly good.
June 3, 2015 5:18 p.m.
I guessed it'd be like sliver's demonic tutor. But still, seems too good for standard.
June 3, 2015 5:19 p.m.
canterlotguardian says... #44
If they do Slivers again... Please do better Slivers than M14/M15. Literally the only good slivers out of those were the lifelink one from M14 and Sliver Hivelord (because you can never have too many 5-color legendary Slivers).
June 3, 2015 5:23 p.m.
canterlotguardian says... #45
oh and Galerider Sliver. kinda forgot how amazing that one was for a minute.
June 3, 2015 5:24 p.m.
FAMOUSWATERMELON says... #46
Leeching Sliver was fun. But not super competitive.
June 3, 2015 5:24 p.m. Edited.
The point is those decks can put a lot of heavy hitters into play in the first 3 turns, they easily out-aggro slivers by a huge margin, even with that spell.
I know because I made a similar custom sliver card capable of dropping a legend by turn 2, tested it, and it didn't help one bit against tier 1 archetypes.
June 3, 2015 5:27 p.m.
canterlotguardian says... #49
FAMOUSWATERMELON I think the only place I'd use that one is in a Sliver Queen infinite combo deck (and that's only if Warstorm Surge fails).
June 3, 2015 5:28 p.m.
FAMOUSWATERMELON says... #50
Never claimed that it was good. But it's fun to think that your opponent can lose without you even having to deal combat damage :)
JWiley129 says... #2
Magicrafter - I think you misread the article. There are 10 planes featured on cards in Origins, not plane cards.
Btw, here are each planeswalker, the plane they are from, and their first planeswalk.
