We have 4 new cards and three new abilities!

Devoid - this card is colorless.

Ingest - When ~ deals damage to an opponent, exile the top card of that opponent's deck.

X, Awaken N - If you cast this spell for X, put N +1/+1 counters on target land you control. It becomes a 0/0 elemental creature with haste. It is still a land.

Primal command with bullet points is the highlight for me though! Discuss!

DarkLaw Yes, the Eldrazi technically have no gender, but Emrakul is referred to as a female, and Ulamog and Kozilek as males.

ComradeJim270 You can do all that stuff, but generally speaking, it's going to be hard after being forced to sacrifice six permanents.

Oh, absolutely. But there's a world of difference between being unable to due that because you had to sac permanents and being unable to do it under any circumstances.

Another problem with annihilator I forgot to mention is that it is a feel-bad mechanic. It is rewarding to make the opponent sacrifice some permanents, but the opponent is probably not feeling the same. WOTC have grown out of punishing mechanics (though 8th edition and its Blood Moon effects will haunt modern forever) and are still pruning them, most recently with making protection non-evergreen.

The old carrot and stick model only works when WOTC holds the stick. In the case of annihilator, WOTC has given the stick to the Emrakul player to whack his carrot-loving opponent.

I still love annihilator. Take away the titans if you must, but my T5 Artisan targeting Crusher is a part of my life in casual.

I'd just like to take a moment to say that Tron is in fact a deck in modern and it does happen to RAMP into the Eldrazi with MANA, and you don't see much cheating out of the eldrazi outside of Legacy, as they have built in prevention for decks like Dredge to abuse them. THAT being said, while wizards could change the eldrazi to be a bunch of small horde-like creatures, that would fundamentally change the tribe. It would be like if the Izzet up and decided they would focus on discard and big stompy vanilla creatures in the next ravnica block.
