Adding a third color to WB Control

Standard Deck Help forum

I have a BW Control deck I'm using for Standard right now, and Id like to experiment with adding a third color. Either Blue or Red. I'm gonna make a list for both ideas. Any suggestions? Especially on the manabase

You're planning on adding White to White-Black control?

Blue probably has the best control with the best creatures for control like Silumgar, Ojutai, even the rarely talked about Disciple of the Ring but Red gives you access to Dark-Dwellers and Kolaghan and more burn, I would go Esper personally but I do have a B/R Control deck and it does fairly well.

Two cards came to mind specifically with the Red idea, Nahiri, the Harbinger and Kolaghan's Command. After all I already run three different walkers, so its already Superfriends basically, and my opponent can only have so many Ruinous Path :P

If you have that kinda $ then go for it. That's going to take a good chunk out of your wallet though.

This is more for the purpose of designing the list and playtesting it before building it at this point. At most Id only use 1-2 Nahiri anyway

If you were to use her what is your target for her Ult? Ulamog and Kolaghan become nasty together. But Kozilek is bigger and has Menace

She'd likely never Ult. She'd mainly be a removal source or draw power. She'd be a one-of along with 2 Chandra, Flamecaller. If she ever did Ult, she'd probably grab an Avacyn or maybe Kalitas, but Kolaghan could be an option
