Standard Deck Help forum

This is the Standard-specific advertise-your-deck thread!

Standard format rules

Here are the rules:

  1. You may link one of your decks in each of your posts. Do not list more than one deck per post.
  2. When you post, you must offer feedback on the deck posted immediately before yours (leave the feedback on that deck's page). This feedback needs to be genuine; "Cool deck" replies don't count. Try to be as helpful as possible.
  3. You may not post another deck in this thread again until a week after your previous deck post (by the day, not the exact minute). This is to make sure that other participants have a fair chance of getting some attention.
  4. Do not post unrelated comments in this thread. Leave the deck discussion on the deck pages. Additionally, don't comment just to subscribe to this thread. Use the subscribe button at the bottom of the page.
  5. This thread is stickied and does not expire.

When you share one of your decks, you should offer some information about what you want it to do, what specifically you think you need help with, etc. The more information you give people about your deck, the better the help you're likely to receive.

You're also encouraged to use the deck-large format to make your decks more visible:

[[deck-large:Dominus-Dreamcrusher Edition]]

While you're here, check out these recommendations for other ways to get views on your deck.

If you're feeling up to it, you can also try to write a primer for your deck.

Look out, but I'm adding yet another Pummeler deck to the mix. I'm especially interested in your thoughts on cards in the maybeboard vs. cards currently in the 75.

Thanks so much!

Sideboard: 1 island isn't going to do squat. If you really want to have blue in the side, you have to reconfigure your manabase to support 3 colors, maybe with the UR fastland. Also the UR animated land. Otherwise, drop counterspells and find another way to beat those decks.

I'm on a major Panharmonicon kick, a card that could also work for energy decks like yours, though maybe it's too slow for how aggressive you appear to be.

A midrange deck, my struggle is choosing the right combination of cards to provide a good amount of aggression to win, and defense. Perhaps something good I should have that's off my radar?

jubale,
You obviously never playtested the deck, nor really even looked at the deck list. With 4x Aether Hub and 4x Servant of the Conduit, the deck has 8 Blue sources. With an Island on the sideboard and 4x Attune with Aether, it's got 13. That's not enough for , but it's more than enough for a single . Thanks though anyway.

Hey Wutmeworry,I'm a bit new to standard. But I'll give this a shot. :)

Extra Engulf the Shore if they pack types of board wipes. Negate is pretty solid against control aswell!I'd suggest looking into the cheeky method of finding 2-3 powerful late game bombs/hosers against control. This limits the dedication to sideboard slots against control matchups as they fall in line with a late game mana curve.

Looking for optimization tips, additions, subtractions; color ideas.

The idea is to burn and/or cheat out Cataclysmic Gearhulk + Combustible Gearhulk and/or Ulamog; maybe Emrakul.

Cataclysmic Gearhulk is to keep the board clean and is castable, Combustible Gearhulk for more burn/card draw (Possibly hit big if you're lucky and your opponent isn't expecting it; turning over an Ulamog for 10 points of damage is game ending a lot of times.)

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar is for token generation primarily for blockers and even sacrifices to Indomitable Creativity; which works in tandem with Madcap Experiment preferably casting Madcap Experiment turn 4 and Indomitable Creativity turn 5 sac'ing two creatures dropping ideally Combustible Gearhulk.

The main issue with this deck is I need better answers for combo decks, and I'm not sure where to look in these colors. Or if I should retune to be more flash-oriented so I'm able to play Spell Queller or a useful instant if Queller isn't required.

With Emrakul, the Promised End being gone soon, I'm looking to perhaps try something a little different for my delirium deck to fill the void made by the loss of Emrakul, and so I was thinking of splashing white so that I can use Brisela, Voice of Nightmares. Or should I likely stick to the regular G/B delirium? As then I can simply throw in a Nissa, Vital Force, a second mainboard Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, a Decimator of the Provinces or a Verdurous Gearhulk(s)? Here is my original decklist, (Currently it just has the second Kalitas in). Please note that I'm not looking for help on this particular one, I'm simply sharing it as a contrast to my proposed, slightly different take on delirium. I will make updates to it if this is the one of these two that I choose to use.

I'm simply looking for feedback on which seems to be the more viable choice going forward, as I want to play with this deck for quite some time now as I only recently finished it and now I'm losing my Emrakul when I had planned on keeping them for clearly a long time yet, however changes are now necessary as that was clearly my best endgame.

Anyways thanks!

That looks like a very solid list. Reckless Fireweaver might have a role to play among all your servos, as would Westvale Abbey  Flip.

I have a BG counters deck, that is very much different from the usual stuff, but is still (almost) competitive. It's not hyper-aggressive but aims to deal with the aggressive decks and still get the job done. I'm looking at changing things around to better meet the current combo/control part of the metagame. This may mean losing the Vampire theme but should be a very intricate and fun deck to play.

This deck is my take on the 4-Color Saheeli deck using Emerge as an alternate win-con, Marvel as an easy way to cheat out creatures like Deep-Fiend, Ulamog, and the Combo pieces, and lastly the Combo itself.

Any advice is appreciated, I think this deck will be very competitive.

The main deck is pure aggro with a lot of various answer's in the sideboard. I am not sure if I should mix some of those in or keep it an all out aggro for the first game.

So the only changes I made to my list due to Aether Revolt is to add a few Fatal Pushes to my 75 and switch up a few cards in the SB. I'd like to know if my deck still has legs, or if it will be horribly outclassed now that there is a combo deck that's doing quite well and more aggressive GB decks.
