Better Fireball?

Which is a better fireball, Crater Claws or Ravaging Blaze?
I can't say I agree. I think Crater's Claws would honestly be better, at least depending on how you use it, especially if you're gonna be targeting people with it. With Claw, you don't have to rely on them having a creature to target. Making it much more reliable then the blaze.

This is an interesting question. I see both of these cards quite often in burn builds lately. I think it really depends on your build.
Crater's Claws is going to be better if you can consistently get its Ferocious bonus, but that means you're probably not building straight burn if you have a creature that big.
Ravaging Blaze seems ideal for both keep an opponent at bay while also dishing out burn. In a race between your burn and your opponent's aggro, being able to take down their biggest attacker while also burning them is invaluable.
I'd say that if you're not sure, your best bet is to just try them out. Run one and sideboard the other, see how they perform in your build.

I tried both in my burn build and ended up with Crater's Claws.
Even if you don't get the Ferocious bonus it is better for two reasons IMO.
You get more damage to your Opponent for the same cost because it's X as opposed to X.
You can do the damage irregardless of whether or not your Opponent has a Creature, which can make all the difference.

If you do want to activate Ferocious two copies of Avaricious Dragon are not out of place in a burn deck. They help with card draw when your hand is dry.

It's actually just regardless. IRregardless is a double negative. it's like saying not regardless of whether or not your opp has a creature. which isn't what you're saying.

i think they belong in different decks. craters claws is great in a ramp deck where you have a bunch of giant fatties and make a lot of mana. ravaging blaze is better in decks that want Searing Blood effects and run a lot of spells.

I say Ravaging Blaze because it can hit both a creature and the creature while being an instant speed burn spell. The only thing is you need spell mastery to make the most out of the spell. However, in a spell heavy deck you have no problem.
