AEtherspouts vs Displacement Wave vs Whelming Wave, which one you think is better? Why?
For a Temur midrange deck, as sideboard against heavy creatures, weenie, tokens, Mastery of the Unseen + Whisperwood Elemental decks.
This is my deck Temur Midrange

Don't forget Whelming Wave. Without any context as to what deck you're using, I'd lean towards AEtherspouts due to it being an instant.

What are you trying to stop? Tokens? Weenies? Elves? Dragons?

I just want some opinions, the pros and cons of each one.
Thank you Caes

If you're looking at sweeping low-cost things, tokens in particular or CMC 1 or 2, I'd go with the Displacement Wave. If you want to bounce bigger things, AEtherspouts is probably a better option. The instant speed helps a lot as well, since you can leave mana open.

AEtherspouts is a total blowout every time I have cast it. Lol.
Whelming Wave is ok. Its really the only thing we have for 4 cost "sweepers" other than Languish.
I have not tried the other one, but I am picking a few up tomorrow. I think it will be worth more later on.

I personally like AEtherspouts more because it doesn't screw up your own board if you have one. Now,in a control deck, Whelming Wave would be a little more ideal but why not just use Languish in that 4 drop spot instead. And Displacement Wave requires a lot of mana to sink in to make it effective by which you should have a board presence and you don't want to screw your own board up. My overall vote goes to the spouts

Displacement Wave lets you keep your fatties while bouncing all the little dudes. However, if you're running an spell in Temur Midrange, why aren't you casting Crater's Claws?
Honestly, I wouldn't run any of them in a Temur midrange deck and instead use my "wrath" slot on Anger of the Gods

If you cast Displacement Wave with X=0 it's a token removal, also works with morph and manifest. JWiley129 I have Crater's Claws in my main deck, the sweeper will be a sideboard card. Right now my favorite is Displacement Wave because is the one that give me the more control on it effect, and if I have to get some of my creatures back to my hand I have plenty of ETB effects and hasty creatures, so probably this would be bad for me. About Anger of the Gods Kill to much of my own creatures, and I rather get some tempo than card advantage, specially in the matchups when I will board-in the Displacement Wave

Displacement Wave is the new Ratchet Bomb but better imo.
My favorite blue sweeper to be honest is Polymorphist's Jest with a Black Sun's Zenith or Fume Spitter type card or any -1 counter generating card/deck.. cast zenith for one, play jest, opponent board wipe (assuming theyre not playing a +1 counter deck).

I think Displacement Wave has more versatility in most decks, and Whelming Wave is only better if they have high CMC stuff or if you have any sea creatures on the board. But keep in mind AEtherspouts is the only instant and so could be used more often. I'd say look at what the top decks in your meta are and go from there, if you're worried about an attack use AEtherspouts and if you're worried about blockers use one of the waves. If you're the aggressor usually sorcery speed is fine, if you find yourself as the control deck often then go with the instant speed. Good question!

Depends on the deck
