Instead of splashing white why not just remove black and play blue white spirits you get a lot more out of the white like Spell Queller and some other things I cant really think of right now. Also you should put this into a deck so its easier to read.

B/U Spirits Advice welcomeHere you go, and I want to build a unique deck and everyone seems to be building blue white spirits. I want to try out a blue white spirit tempo/control deck and make it competitively liable. Something unique Y'know?

Alright thats fine well I would consider a couple things. First, add more land with this current build 22 is not enough with 4 5 mana planeswalkers. I would also consider dropping murder for Grasp of Darkness or a tempo counterspell like Clash of Wills other than that I think your creature base is fine except Geist of the Archives he juse doesnt really do anything but I cant really offer anything better. Im also not really sold on maindeck pick the brain or dark salvation. I think you would rather have Duress or Transgress the Mind and a different removal spell over salvation because you dont have any zombies really other than what you could potentially get off oath of lily. I dont know just some things to consider.

Nebelgast Herald looks much better than Geist of the Archives. He does the same thing except he's a 2/1 flyer flash. Sry 1 in upkeep isn't worth putting in a wall. Going with that there would be 16 viable blue spirits. Uninvited Guest looks underwhelming. Almost a sealed type card. I would put 2 lands in for it. Particularly Evolving Wilds if your gonna go more delirium route.

U/B offers no manlands and the planeswalker offer no true creatures. The removal spells wouldn't make up for it.

Which leads me to think the deck needs focused on instant speed control and value to make up the difference. Good suggestions were Clash of Wills and Grasp of Darkness. I still think Ruinous Path far outweighs Murder (I laugh at how it's an uncommon now). There's a lot of planeswalkers around with no signs of stopping.

I also agree 22 lands is quite short for Standard. Usually, by default it's 25 now cuz it's gotten even more slow than recent past. Utility lands are great like the black Blighted land. Excellent help as late game last ditch effort. Even Abbey shines shitting out tokens.

I think Read the Bones would be better than Oath of Jace. Idk. Jace just seems bad almost everytime I've seen it builds. But I get your doing the planeswalker/delirium thing, which is cool.

Lastly there is the option of going Esper. The mana would become trickier but the fact that Spell Queller exists would make it totally worth it, imo.

Not a spirit but there's always Mindwrack Demon. I see you got the 4 slot filled with a spirit already and he is good. But you may want to consider an additional midrange monster that has presence turn 4. Even late game he's quite the finisher. But that might be getting into a whole new arena. SB?

One other thing I wanted to mention. Might help to look at the Modern Spirit decks popping up. Granted it's a different animal but I think the best method for control is similar. Quick interaction at instant speed. And if you are casting sorcery speed spells they need to make the impact worth it. Cuz the moment you do your opponent will know you've opened yourself up for them to make their move.

Thanks for your input you guys. I made some major changes at my friday night magic then came back and saw some great card replacements. My deck is having a hard time against control decks and it's doing great against other decks. I changed my decklist and here's the new one [wub-spirits-advice-welcome] If you guys have any other suggestions I'd be estatic to hear them

Why is Dark Salvation in the deck when your only other source of zombies is a Liliana ultimate?
