Looking for budget deck ideas for STANDARD! Preferably competitive enough to place decently at FNM. Thanks much.

I believe the fact that it's in the standard deck help forum hints at the format

For standard, tribal decks are usually a decent way to be competitive without breaking the bank. Right now, at my LGS, my 10 yr old daughter is running mono red goblins and has 2 2nd place finishes and a win in the last couple of months. I won last weeks FNM with BW Warriors. Both of these have a few money cards, but can be made for around $100. Hope this helps and good luck!!

Go Abzan Warriors. Boom! So much resilience and speed.

U/R Artifacts, Goblins, or B/W Warriors. Aggro strategies may become worse if Languish becomes a very popular card, in which the best budget strategy will be U/R Counterburn with Keranos.

I actually have an Abzan Warriors deck built on here. Any suggestions for that type of deck?

@nnolin: Do you have the decklists for the mentioned decks? If so I would love to see them!

@nnolin: About the whole ten year old daughter thing......give her to me so she can show me how to win at magic :D

Also, I can't seem to get the "add deck link" to work for me.

As far as BW Warriors goes, if you wanna be aggro, start with 4x Arashin Foremost + Blood-Chin Rager + Bloodsoaked Champion . A couple of Sorin, Solemn Visitor and Brutal Hordechief to top the curve. Not sure what you could add in green besides Heir of the Wilds or Surrak, the Hunt Caller

I'll probably just go . Don't have to spend extra $ on the duals that way. Didn't see Brutal Hordechief, I'll toss that in.

Strong sideboard cards in the current meta would be awesome as well. I stopped playing around theros, so I'm still getting used to all these new cards.

Yea... it was late... That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
On topic though now that I'm awake, I have a few budget builds myself depending on what your looking for. My first Boros Battle Rage V2.0(around $40 mark) is a nice aggro deck. Has control issues sometimes but that can be solved with sideboard changes as per your meta. The second is U/R Not Touching This(Around $20) Is a control/burn type with lots of evasion. Lastly Deathtouch of Fate (around $25) is centered around the Agent with additional surprises to keep the board clear. Hope this helps you find something budgety you can use effectively.

Here's the list for the goblins deck my daughter plays. There's no sideboard because she's still learning that aspect of the game, so it can definitely be improved upon. Hope this helps and let me know what you think.

I agree with everything people above had said. If you didn't want to worry about mana-fixing when going for a two-colored deck, (because of needing duel lands) you could go mono-white warriors. You can use the protection spells and removal spells like center soul and sandblast while you aggro your opponent to death with Arashin Foremosts that have vigilance thanks to herald of dromoka. I have a mono white warriors deck list if needed.
