Standard Deck Help forum

So hey folks pretty new to mtg and I want to make a cheap deck I can use to play FNM, now honestly my focus is just playing fun decks with my mates, I've made me a spider deck and will make a wurm one too, but just want something for Friday so I can play and frustrate, even if I lose pretty much all the time lol.
So I like the deathtouch mechanic and want to build a green/black deck focused on it, got some suitable cards listed but my real issue is I'm not sure what my end game plan is going to be.
Got a load of low mana deathtouch monsters like rats and ruthless ripper, got stuff like hornet queen/nest, for some death tokens. gurmag swiftwing for first strike. Got cards like epic confrontation/savage punch to force battles, coat with venom for gurmag and maybe other non auto deathtouch that could be useful etc.
So obviously all the deathtouch will stall them for a time and with forced encounters I can hopefully take out say a big eldrazi since most folks I know seem to be going towards ramping for them. So necromantic summons was an idea, nick something strong I deathtouch of theirs.
Soulflayer could be good for nabbing deathtouch and maybe other abilities.
but...not sure what to build up to really. Revenant or undergrowth scavenger (is latter legal?) could be pretty big If I've lost a lot of weak creatures stalling them

Id go with these standard cards: Hornet Queen, Deathmist Raptor (however this is not cheap, but it is amazing), Hornet Nest (make sure to block with this every chance you get), Pharika's Disciple

If you are really stuck on deathtouch, try effects that give your guys menace or first strike as a combat trick. All a creature with deathtouch has to do is deal a single point of damage to kill its blocker (or creature it blocks). Menace will help you set up some 2 for 1's if it has 2 or more power. Deathtouch on an Arcbond target is a board wipe.

genius man. genius. I'll do some research on death touch creatures, first strike and menace addons.

Hornet Queen and Nest are not legal in standard.

New players always seem to overrate deathtouch. I remember I did too, when I got a foil Stone-Tongue Basilisk in one of the first boosters I ever opened. Deathtouch isn't a gameplan or a theme to build a deck around. It's a bonus ability on a creature to mess up combat a little bit, and it's generally good against green decks that play huge monsters that don't do anything but attack. Against a lot of decks, you'll be wishing you had an extra point of attack or a regeneration effect rather than deathtouch. Cards like Revenant and Undergrowth Scavenger are also generally not that good because they depend on what your opponent is doing. What if you play against someone who only plays 3 or 4 creatures in their deck?
