Dragonlord BUG Control ( Origins ) I honestly just got this big gut feeling as long as you can hit Infinite Obliteration by turn 3 ( which it ain't hard for this deck ) you can hard control any mid-range deck because of Obliteration.

As for against another control deck you just need to play smart and counter at the right times as always.

What do you guys think am I on the right path for control during these next two months?

Infinite Obliteration is a sideboard card at best. The card does literally nothing to the game. Occasionally you'll cast a worse Mind Rot but that's it. Midrange is where it is actually at it's worst as those decks tend to have high card quality. This type of effect (extraction) is really only useful against combo or control but this particular one can't hit non-creatures.

If your looking for a good control deck I would read this article about Sultai Control. One of the top control players explains some of it's strengths and place in the metagame.

Right now if you had Abzan turn 3 I play Obliteration aimed at Siege Rhino you may or my not have a means to counter it now a key card from your Abzan deck is gone from the game. Besides MTGtop8 and Goldfish the winning decks are still running 4 ofs of Siege Rhino and Fleecemane Lion. Both of which are win cons for these decks. And for the ones that don't have 4 ofs in their deck it still helps not to have to worry over these powerful cards.

On top of me throwing cards into the exiled pile via Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver and countering anything via Clash of Wills or pulling it out of there hand via Thoughtseize
