could Landfall + land creatures work?

seeing the Embodiment of Fury and Embodiment of Insight spoilers made me more interested in making a deck featuring land creatures because I think it's a cool idea that wizards has done that fresh and original. especially after seeing Mina and Denn, Wildborn this seems like this would naturally go well landfall mechanic to get more lands out and make it less significant when your lands die. I already have 2 Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip that seems like a logical fit but I am concerned about a few things. firstly, how badly will i be set back by my own mana sources dying, secondly where are any good awaken cards for red and green? having cards with the awaken mechanic seems like it might be necessary for a more perminant board presence. I also currently have white in the mix largely because of Planar Outburst and the fact that it has good awaken cards, should I cut white and just go R/G? Is trying to go land creatures and awaken trying to do too much and should I just focus on one or the other? And If I did focus on a land creatures deck would that be viable?

yeah i was kind of thinking that myself. It would be cool to make the two work together but it seems more coherent and feasible to pull off to just go for landfall R/G stompy

yes sir :) thats what i am trying to brew up now. an aggro R/G deck where every creature has trample and the spells either boost power or remove threats. It should be really fun, except I think i will need a lot of increased draw, so Sarkahn it is :)

For increased draw you could try Nissa, Voice of Zendikar for her ult, but that would be hard to pull off as she'd die first I'd think, but Chandra, Flamecaller could work very well for that, possibly Elemental Bond, although you loose card advantage to play it it might pay off later in the game and Nissa's Revelation although there isn't a lot of low cmc draw available

Now you are making me wonder how Eldrazi Displacer would work with land creatures. I assume the flicker would remove the effect of it being a creature but still trigger landfall. I know it seems kind of janky but I might try this for the lulz.

If your going to do that, then why not just just add in the Mina and Denn, Wildborn and call it a day?

Because you also have the benefit of blinking all the other etb creatures like Nissa, Vastwood Seer Flip. Mina and Denn, Wildborn would obviously be in the 60 as well.

yeah Mina and Denn, Wildborn would go without saying. that card is going to be half the reason to build a landfall deck in the first place. Eldrazi Displacer would be funny and would retrigger landfall but I wouldn't include it for anything except laughs

I like what you are trying to do, but think it will come up way short competitively, mostly due to the reliance of the of the elemental landfall creatures. I would say to chose one and round out its edges before trying to add additional content to it.
That being said Atarka landfall is ways a Nice aggro option and if you wanted to ifDo creature lands, Noyan Dar, Roil Shaper is pretty. But at that point you are building an ojutai control deck which does the job better anyway :/
But I love the new wildborn card though. :) it will make landfall aggro a farcry better than it was.
