My boyfriend has just got me started in MTG. He has an awesome deck, but he sucks at making decks. So I've been playing around with mine so much so that I have WAY too many cards. I know that it's okay to have more than 60 but I feel like I'm pushing the limit. When I play against him the issue is that my deck is "too slow." Here's what my deck currently consists of:
Creatures:2x Void Winnower 2x Breaker of Armies1x Bane of Bala Ged2x Sky Scourer2x Mindmelter4x Palace Familiar4x Salvage Drone2x Drowner of Hope4x Prophet of Distortion1x Wave-Wing Elemental
Instants:2x Artificer's Epiphany1x Complete Disregard2x Murderous Cut4x Dispel4x Negate
Enchantment:2x Deadly Wanderings
Sorcery:4x Slip Through Space2x Treasure Cruise2x Fearsome Awakening4x Necromantic Summons4x Taigam's Scheming
Lands:1x Evolving Wilds1x Crumbling Vestige1x Spawning Bed4x Submerged Boneyard4x Opulent Palace13x Swamp13x Island
Total: 94 cards :-(
Obviously I need some help. Please?

As a general rule, you should have close to 24 lands more or less. Considering you're running big drops and counter spells, I'd say 25 is a good number. You could cut any number of basics, as well as the evolving wilds and the spawning beds. As for non lands, cut the reanimate package. You don't need that in this kind of deck. You can cut the summons, the Awakening and the scheming. Cut the deadly wanderings. Just not good. You can cut all the prophets, the wave-wing, and the mindmelters. You can cut the epiphanys as well since discarding two isn't good for you, even though you do draw 3. You now have 61 cards if I am correct. I highly suggest you grabbing more counterspells that counter creature spells. Explore more sets outside of standard. There are tons of great cards you and your bf can play with. Unless you want to keep your decks strictly standard. Enjoy shuffling a smaller deck :P
