What's the best way to exile Hangarback Walker in sultai? I have this deck, My next deck is sultai!, and while I run languish in the main board which helps deal with the 1/1 tokens, I still usually need 2 cards in order to deal with a hangarback. There has to be a better way to deal with it other than killing it and then wiping the board for the tokens. What are your suggestions??
@FAMOUSWATERMELON How exactly would Mirror Mockery exile the Hangar? I'm just curious.
Also, what the others said. :)
Not to mention you could play Virulent Plague to make the tokens useless.

It wouldn't. But you could enchant the hangar with it, trade with it, and get the same amount of thopters, essentially completely negating its effect.

Are you sure it enters with the counters? I believe you have to cast it in order to get the counters. Or am I wrong?

The copy doesn't inherit the X value. Once Hangarback Walker becomes a permanent, its CMC goes back to 0 and it just enters with counters. Copy effects don't copy counters, and the token won't have any way to copy the X value Hangarback Walker had as a spell.

uhh. Silence the Believers is a card, so is Gild. Fade into Antiquity is still around. Unravel the Aether almost solves it.

@asasinater13 I think those are probably my best options.. sadly. The deck isn't really a control deck and focus's more on the delving and getting large creatures for cheap. That makes being able to reliably counter it like it's been suggested kinda hard, because the deck would basically have to change out of the sideboard. I think Fade into Antiquity might have to make it's way into the 75 somewhere. Hardened Scales is popular and there is a deck running Thopter Spy Network so it would be useful against stuff other than hangarback too.
I think the Curse of the Swine I have now is a little better for me than Silence the Believers though. For roughly half the mana investment I can exile 2 creatures and the 2/2's shouldn't pose a threat against my bigger creatures and board wipes. It's actually pretty decent against abzan because rhinos tend to run in herds so I get more than one a lot. It's also good against decks playing Deathmist Raptor. Leaving them with a 2/2 is a small price to pay to stop the recursion. If heroic used more bestow creatures then I could see Silence the Believers coming into play, but for now there's no need to exile the aura's as long as I can get rid of the creature they're attacked to.
