Hello everyone, I recently got intrested in MTG after a friend suggested that i try it. Always wishing to expand my horizions i agreed. Im not new to TCGs (u can guess which one is my favorite) but MTG has A LOT of cards and its hard to start a deck on your own. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to make a deck that can: search cards, remove monsters, draws, interupt on oppoments turn, and summon monsters aggresivly. I understand some combination of Blue Red Black can do this.Any tips and help will be great!
I recommend this site for searching cards. Super useful!!

Why not try either a blue/black deck, blue/red deck or black/red deck?
As 3 colors can be a little difficult at times. Since your still new to magic I suggest you stick with 2 colors.
Some ideas of archetypes you can do with these color combinations include:
Blue/Black:
- Zombies You have access to cards like Cryptbreaker, Relentless Dead, Diregraf Colossus, Murder, Dark Salvation, Fleshbag Marauder, Collective Brutality, Gisa and Geralf, Liliana, Heretical Healer Flip and non zombie cards that still are good in this type of deck like Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, and Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip.
I think these card examples highlight a lot of what you are looking for.
Blue/Red:
-Milling, control. There's lots of good cards for these colors which can do much of what you are looking for in your deck.
Some of my favourites are: Sphinx's Tutelage, Thing in the Ice Flip, Fevered Visions, Startled Awake Flip, Bedlam Reveler, Incendiary Flow, Take Inventory, Chandra, Flamecaller, Jace, Unraveler of Secrets, Lightning Axe, Talent of the Telepath, Curious Homunculus Flip and Thermo-Alchemist.
Here is a deck of mine I'm building:

Then there's Red/Black:
With this my favourite route would be to go with a vampire deck. These types of decks have plenty of aggressive low cost creatures, access to an amazing amount of removal, and card advantage.
There's cards like Olivia, Mobilized for War, Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Falkenrath Gorger, Lightning Axe, Fiery Temper, Asylum Visitor, Tormenting Voice, Bloodhall Priest, Collective Brutality, Grasp of Darkness, Murder, Furyblade Vampire, Incorrigible Youths, Call the Bloodline, Alms of the Vein, Stensia Masquerade, Stromkirk Condemned, and Indulgent Aristocrat.
Here below is my red/black vampire deck since there was a new card expansion known as Eldritch Moon recently, there's new cards to now consider for my deck. So it has been going through a lot of changes.
Of course there's many, many more decks you can do with some of the most popular decks being the colors green/white or green/white/blue. With decks like these featuring cards like Collected Company, Nissa, Voice of Zendikar, Gideon, Ally of Zendikar, Sylvan Advocate, Hangarback Walker Declaration in Stone, Archangel Avacyn Flip, Reflector Mage, Thalia's Lieutenant and Tireless Tracker among others.
However I myself prefer to use decks that are not the most commonly used.
If you need further help just ask!

Or you could if you want try a red/black/blue deck. You have access to removal to deal with your opponents creatures, some strong creatures, ways to disrupt your opponent during both your turn and there's, draw related cards etc.
You could use cards like Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, Read the Bones, Grasp of Darkness, Goblin Dark-Dwellers, Chandra, Flamecaller, Duress, Transgress the Mind and so on.
If you want to pursue a deck like this I can try my best to provide more help.

Here I managed to find a good example of the deck I mentioned above by EastsideRock if you are interested in making a deck like this, you should give it a look.

Thx for sharing Delta-117. The deck requires good knowledge of it to master it but it is very rewarding once you do. It's all about using the right tools against the right threats at the right time so the more you understand the meta, the better you'll get at piloting it. There's also a little learning curve with deploying the manabase efficiently. Cheers!

are you only wanting to play kitchen top variety decks or are you eating to get into a particular format?
