Hi guys, just wondering what i should be looking for to build an aggressive G/R wolf/werewolf deck? I have a lot of wolves and werewolf cards already, all Shadows over Innistrad, but unsure as to how many flip cards i need in a deck like this. I should imagine i want a few normal wolves in the deck as throw aways? Bearing in mind i'm just buying booster packs and praying i get some cards that help me, not looking to spend a bomb.
Thanks
Shadowsin,
Welcome to Magic!
I recommend starting with this thread: All things Wolven. It's a fun community, and there are a lot of good budget decks there.
With a disclaimer that I'm very partial to the Silverfur Partisan + Zada, Hedron Grinder combo, here are some of my personal favorites:
- Quickbuild: Budget Werewolves (~$25) by Spootyone and EAK1791 (with an accompanying podcast!)
- RG Zadafur Werewolves - BUDGET (Below $50!) by snarlmkiv
- Wolves Who Bench Eldrazi: Budget Version by Rasanck
- Zada's Doggies by pinkhamster
- Big bad wolf by Noxiousblade
Good luck (and good skill) with the build!

Hi mate!
Thanks for the amazing links you have provided. Gave me clear insight on cards that are worthy of a werewolf deck. I knew i wanted to build my deck around Howlpack Resurgence as it just flows nicely and is cheap! And i was wondering is it viable to make howlpack X 4 in a deck, or would it be better to have X 2-3 in a deck just to be able to squeeze other spells in?Also, before the werewolf flips, it's in its human form. It sais werewolf on the sub creature type, so do they still recieve the HpR buff in the human state?

Shadowsin,
Glad you found them helpful!
In general, the decision to go 4-of vs. 2- or 3-of is largely a matter of personal preference. I like consistency in a deck, so tend to lean towards 4-ofs. Other folks like a little unpredictability (especially when they're not really sure yet which card is going to be better in a particular playgroup) and so lean towards 2-ofs. Another consideration is if it's cool to draw multiples. For example, Zada, Hedron Grinder is Legendary, so I can only have one on the Battlefield at a time. So even though she's really important to my deck, I'm running her as a three-of (for now anyways), because more than one at a time is just a dead card.
In this case, because you want to build your deck around Howlpack Resurgence and it's OK if you draw multiples, I think you'll probably want it as a 4-of.
And yeah, Howlpack Resurgence works on either face. For example Duskwatch Recruiter Flip benefits from cards that pump Humans or Warriors or Werewolves. Once he transforms to Krallenhorde Howler Flip though, he only benefits from cards that pump Werewolves.
