Help with brews finished for now
Standard Deck Help forum
Posted on Nov. 5, 2018, 8:25 a.m. by Argy
So far I have helped three people, so all slots have been taken.
Look out for this topic in future if you want help with a deck. Decks will have to be submitted using the guide below.
Conditions
-
Brew must currently be Standard legal.
-
You must provide a large-size link to the deck, and a brief description of how it works, in this topic.
-
Must have been brewed from your own original idea. "Tweaked" brews will not be considered.
-
Only one brew per person will be looked at. If you post more than one brew in here all of them will be disqualified. You can't post a brew, then post another one, and ask me to ignore the first. That is a waste of my time so CHOOSE CAREFULLY.
-
I have final right to decide if I wish to help with a deck or not. It's not up for discussion, although I may choose to give a reason why I have decided not to look at a brew.
-
How long it takes me to evaluate and provide feedback on a deck is up to me. My plans are to look at them over the next fortnight, but that may change.
One final tip: I am more likely to help with original and/or interesting decks.
Something like my Sarkhan's Dragon Den
OK have at it.
Thanks FSims81
You built an interesting deck.
Since you were the first cab off the rank I've given you some suggestions for a Sideboard that should make your deck a bit more effective.
Hope that was helpful.
Two more slots left open for decks I will look at.

Alright, there’s two more slots left, so why not? I don’t even play Standard, but I’m trying out building a deck for it. Here:

The goal is just to get a bunch of mana, kick a lot of spells, and get reward from those spells.
Like I said, I’m new to Standard, so I have no idea how to build a sideboard for this deck.

Hey Argy,
Not sure if this counts or not, but I have made a Selesnya Midrange/Combo deck that splashes Red for some sideboard cards and Aurelia. I use ramp to get out big Angels ASAP, and then start to beat face with the Lyra Dawnbringer + Resplendent Angel combo.
Thanks!

I am always open to feedback and suggestions! I am currently brewing a homemade W/U control deck centered around using historics as introduced in Dominaria, and centering the focus around Traxos, Scourge of Kroog. The big idea is to control the board until I am able to get Traxos out and keep bringing in historic cards to untap him to swing in.
Release the Traxos!

thetanman91 I've taken a look at your deck and given you some suggestions.
I've also started working on the deck made by Hexaflexagon, so that's all three slots taken.
I've decided to also take a look at the deck made by GoblinsBeatElves, because I am a kind and generous person.
I don't give as much feedback as I used to on this site, but I will be doing this exercise every month or so.
Look out for my topic next time you want help with a deck.
Happy brewing.

No worries people.
Commenting on decks is something that I enjoy.

Why not. I'll give it a shot. Fun home-brew idea I put together and have enjoyed playing more than some of the other things I recently cooked up. Goal is to steal an opponent's creatures and sacrifice them for my gain. Played well at the recent Star City Open in NC even if I didn't win many matches.
