Is stax possible in standard?

I like standard, but looking at EDH and modern/legacy I want to there because there is stax, this play style looks so good. But I wan't move completely in other format, I wanna play standard. So, main question - can be assembled something similar to stax in standard(with card from Dominaria maybe)? Or available card are not enough at all?
dusterGGG it's look like playable idea, what do you think about incuding a white color to add Tocatli Honor Guard and Aven Mindcensor? Also i'm think that Harsh Mentor will be good, what do you think about this card?

I would probably mostly go whit for Slaughter the Strong in my experience Aven Mindcensor isn't that good mainboard, but might be solid sideboard tech. Harsh Mentor is great in the sideboard.

dusterGGG while i'm searching card which can be good inclusion i've found some land-destroy card, so maybe make GBR deck with Creeping Mold, Demolish, Spreading Rot and Violent Impact?

Keep in mind that targeted land destruction that only hits one land is only really good for spot removing troublesome lands, most likely flip lands right now. That being said creeping mold, violent impact, and demolish after rotation are good in the sideboard because they can do other things too.

dusterGGG with Primal Amulet Flip it's look better then without it, also in leaked cards from Dominaria we saw good white saga which destroy all land at turn 6, maybe 4 color land destruction is real after Dominaria release?As would there nor was, i'll try to do smth and post it here later

dusterGGG i just cant make smth, no matter what i do it turns out a typical discard, however during last days i fell in love discard. Maybe with Dominaria release we'll try to make stax like edh players can it do, but now in standard it's didn't get playable i'm think

I've actually been thinking of trying to build a BR stax deck myself. Making use of both Angraths, Kitesail Freebooter, recuring Storm Fleet Arsonist, Vona's Hunger, Torment of Scarabs, Torment of Hailfire. I'm not sure it's good, but it's doable.
