I don’t play standard, but your deck seems too heavy on creatures and lacking in non-creature spells such as spot-removal.

Claim the Firstborn seems really good as you can remove a blocker for cheap and have it deal damage. If you’re up against a deck with not a lot of creatures you can still use it to give your own creature haste or to untap it as a blocker after combat.

Your deck should also be running Corpse Knight as it would be ridiculously strong with Worthy Knight . Skyknight Vanguard would also help a lot in pushing this synergy as well. You could then abuse cards like Heartfire and Spark Harvest which are tremendously strong if you can flood the field. Do keep in mind those two spells work amazing with Claim the Firstborn as you can sac your own opponent’s stuff instead.

StopShot These are not good recommendations. All these cards will make the deck incredibly worse. You don't need much spot removal game one. This is a Tribal deck, so you want to beat face as quickly as possible & use next 2 games for removal.

@UndeadxPenguins, not all my suggestions were removal. There were two knight cards I suggested that would really add on to what you have going in your deck.

I cant get to to your deck or find it on your page. But i would not run claim the firstborn, Heartfire or Spark Harvest. I cant comment on the other knights without your deck list. Really mainboard 4x Murderous Rider should be your main source of spot removal, maybe a couple other pieces

SP3CTR3_chelts I just put it back up. My final version of it.

Nice I think you have identified the better knights from the set! A few comments though:

Your transition from turn 1 to 3 is difficult, turn 1 you have three different coloured 1 drops, then turn 2 you have the 2 multicoloured knights then turn three you are in double black devotion. This is the biggest floor with the deck atm :(

I would probably get rid of the Fervent Champion in favour of Venerable Knights and swap the Temple of Triumph for a Temple of Silence. I would probably swap Embercleave for 1x Oathsworn Knight or a 1x Order of Midnight to enable your deck to play a bit later whilst not needing double red.

I think these slight changes will make a noticeable change to reliability. (note I'm not saying the dropped cards are bad these changes will just significantly drop your reliance on red)

I think 4 Murderous Rider and 2 mortify is probably stacking removal a bit high, game 1 you want to be asking the questions not answering them and then you side in removal in later games. I would drop this to 4 removal either swap the 2 murderous riders for oathsworn knights /a wintermore commander or swap out the mortifys for maybe the same or maybe some nice equipment (when planning treat Steelclaw Lance as a three drop as you never want to play it without equipping it).

I think the sideboard is a little scattered. I would say you need 3-4 duress against control, maybe 2-3 experimental frenzy when playing against slower grindy mid range match ups and the 2 removal pieces that were dropped from the main board.

SP3CTR3_chelts, I have done some rigorous testing &, as of right now, the removal mainboard is necessary. Decks like this are afraid of big creatures like Questing Beast & Beanstalk Giant, which are both popular in the meta, so, having something to remove them, as well as Oko & other Planeswalkers, is incredibly important. Embercleave has won me so many games that, if I didn't have it, I would've lost. Placing it on a lifelinker that is buffed by my other cards on the field can gain me massive life, as well as killing them. I'm not a huge fan of Venerable Knight, but Fervent Champion has put in some real nice work. Just that one extra damage helps a ton. Sideboard I can sorta agree with, but since there haven't been any high Standard tournaments yet, I just worked with what I think will be good in the meta. Duress is a good idea though, but I'm gonna wait & see what becomes top tier. Also, the mana-base for the deck is perfect because I never have any problems casting anything because of Tournament Grounds. It allows me to cast almost anything in the deck. Haven't had any difficulties yet.
