Need some help for Game Day and FNM
Standard Deck Help forum

So, any and all of these decks will be untested for FNM, but my R/U artifact deck is not where I want it to be right now, so I've got to gamble placing top 8 AND Game Day on untested decks. I want to play some variation of Death and Taxes, and came up with 3 variations...
Some Costs are too Great to Bear Playtest

A more aggressive variation of this deck, with very specific spells to close out a win (Deflecting Palm, most likely)
A Taxing Experience Playtest

A more traditional Death & Taxes shell, but with some dipping into Constellation, but without any Constellation cards, really. I'm leaning towards this one
Taxes and Hydras Playtest

This one was the first one I cooked up, but definitely the one I'm least sure of for stable performance.
I'm sorry I'm giving you guys such short notice to help me on this one, but you've stepped up and helped me well before. Thanks for any insight you folks could provide!

The BW deck seems better than the other ones. But i think you should run some removal in mainboard and in sideboard such as Hero's Downfall and Ultimate Price.

I think the W/B one would be the best to play. You really do need some mainboard removal though. If you splash red you could run 4x Crackling Doom, which is positioned really well in the current meta. It would also give you access to good anti-aggro sideboard cards such as Seismic Rupture and Arc Lightning.
Otherwise Hero's Downfall, Ultimate Price, Bile Blight, Valorous Stance, Celestial Flare, and Swift Reckoning are your best options.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. Yeah, I was definitely considering Celestial Flare as well as some more traditional removal (maybe Murderous Cut- delve would help the noncreature stipulation in Wingmare). Actually, Fleshbag Marauder gets around the non-creature requirement, taxes them again (with Athreos on the battlefield), and is a pretty hearty body as well, do you think there's a place for him here?

TheNinjaJesus: Fleshbag Marauder and Merciless Executioner would both work very well in this deck. I'd run 4-6 of them total. They can also be used to remove your tax creatures that are preventing you from doing something. I'd drop Relic Seeker and the equipment to make room.
Murderous Cut is great but doesn't work too well with Athreos, God of Passage. I'd rather use Ultimate Price or Swift Reckoning. You won't need Celestial Flare if you run Fleshbag Marauder/Merciless Executioner as you'll want targeted removal instead.

Thanks, Gorgo. You make good points. I don't really want to get rid of Relic Seeker and the equipment, since the equipment is sort of taking the place of removal and pump spells, but permanent and movable. I'd drop from 4 Eidolons to 3, get rid of the helm (or Sword of the Animist, whichever makes the most sense), and go from 4 Knight of the White Orchid to 3 to make room for 3 Merciless Executioner and/or Fleshbag Marauder.
Do you think that'll work well?

I think that's a good idea if you want to keep Relic Seeker. I'd rather play Sword of the Animist/Godsend over Helm of the Gods as the Swords don't need other cards to be good.
I'd still consider dropping the Relic Seeker package though. I don't think it does enough to warrant 6 slots in the deck. Dropping all 6 cards (Relic Seeker/Godsend/Helm of the Gods/Sword of the Animist) and adding 4 Fleshbag Marauder/Merciless Executioner, 0-1 Ultimate Price, and 1-2 Valorous Stance would be how I'd do it.
Just my opinion, hope that helps!
