Well, I know I'm your friendly neighborhood Johnny, but when it comes to Standard, there just isn't enough to work with.
I have been using a RDW for standard tournaments recently, but it just doesn't seem to cut it.
I would like to know if there is a way for me to make this more consistent, powerful, and easier to handle than the one I'm using now. Thanks for the help in advance guys!

Maybe try and just play it aggro mono red and not depend on heroic. Put some Dragon Fodder,Hordeling Outburst and Goblin Rabblemaster combined with Hall of Triumph and you got a solid red deck. That's the deck im running since i start playing again. So far i've gone 3-1 in FNM.Another RDW

Oops. Actually scratch that, if you like the current feel you should be running Coordinated Assault over the Wild Slash I suggested. Forgot about that card. Though I agree with spyroswiz29 that the go wide approach isn't bad either.

If you're even considering going the token route, snag some Obelisk of Urd's for some pre-rotation fun!

Not a big fan of Mardu Scout in the list. The main point of sligh is to be able to play a critical mass of spells before your opponent, even if their impact is not huge. As quickly as Turn 2 you want to be dropping multiple spells, not tapping out for Mardu Scout dashed or otherwise. I would replace them with something like Wild Slash.
For the sideboard. I would cut the Hammer of Purphoros, you're only on 19 lands to begin with, and shave the number of Scouring Sands, which is already splashing with Arc Lightning. In place of those you'll want some Roasts and Goblin Heelcutters.
