Sigil of the Empty Throne
Standard Deck Help forum

Hey all, this will probably be the standard noobie questions but I last played MTGO about a decade ago, decided on a whim to have another look and of course stoked to see that nothing in my collection will be playable in standard, so starting from scratch I always preferred white and blue and I thought I'd try build a deck around Sigil of the Empty Throne
At this point I just want to throw a deck or two together to play casually in standard, ideally for not too many tix, so any suggestions on what I should be looking to include would be a huge help.
Also any other blue white cheap standard cards that might be worth throwing in to the shopping cart to build some starter decks that can later be replaced with more expensive options if needed.
Thanks
(Sorry just realised this is probably in the wrong place if I'm only asking about MTGO)
The good thing about that is that you have Stasis Snare, Suspension Field, Silkwrap, and Quarantine Field for removal. It's all a little vulnerable with Dromoka's Command in standard right now, though. Either way you'll obviously want counter spells, like Scatter to the Winds and Clash of Wills and the like.
As far as enchantments that aren't removal are concerned, Myth Realized and Mastery of the Unseen can also help you attack, Monastery Siege is great for filtering, and Starfield of Nyx, while risky, can pay off big time.
Mind, this is all just throwing ideas out for a start.

U/W Sigil could be fun. You could go a Taxing route with Monastery Siege, Icefall Regent, Vryn Wingmare, and Archangel of Tithes. Along side removal and counters like Suspension Field, Stasis Snare, Silkwrap, Scatter to the Winds, Clash of Wills, Ojutai's Command.
Some other U/W enchantments
Other U/W good stuff (may be out of price range but worth mentioning)
Monastery Mentor (popular in legacy U/W control. put one out and then counter to protect/trigger prowess.)
Gideon, Ally of Zendikar (emblem puts your angels out of Languish range)

Thanks for the replies, some fantastic help here. Think I'll start with the blue/white plan and go from there. Is there any land in particular that would work well?

Prairie Stream and Flooded Strand are the big UW lands right now, although obviously not cheap. Tranquil Cove is more budget, Evolving Wilds is standard, and I'm a fan of Blighted Cataract if you end up with a high land count.

I agree with xcn on Flooded Strand and Prairie Stream, they are musts for U/W. I also like Tranquil Cove, I think its fine mana fixing. I like Blighted Cataract too
If your going to run the landfall enchantments it may pay off to run Windswept Heath and Polluted Delta for more U/W fetches and more landfall triggers.
Something like having a Retreat to Coralhelm and a Flooded Strand ready to fetch to tap the attacker before combat could be a nice. Or if your on the offensive then you could play a fetch and break it to tap down two blockers.

Starfield of Nyx Is currently the big enchantment player in the set and you will probably want to run a couple at least. some other good cards would be.
Herald of the Pantheon
Monastery Siege
Zendikar's Roil
Retreat to Coralhelm
Retreat to Emeria
Blightcaster
Myth Realized
Narset Transcendent
From Beyond
I kno some of these are off color of UW but most enchantment decks are really pushing into green for the pseudo "Tribal Support"
