Stitcher's Graft Vehicles?

Is this correct?
- 1st Main, crew a Vehicle, it becomes a creature
- Pay 2 to equip Stitcher's Graft
- Combat, mondo swing
- End of turn, Vehicle becomes only an artifact, Graft falls off, allowing Vehicle to untap next turn
Am I wrong? Seems like this could be awesome...

Oh forgot about the fall off condition...
Always Watching or just creatures who already have vigilance seem like a much better options. Paying every turn will end up being a steep cost to pay regularly and keep your creatures. Also, I just read Stitcher's Graft better after writing that and it specifically says permanent. So the fact it won't be a creature would be irrelevant as you'll sac the vehicle still when the equipment falls off end of turn. Also of note, this also means that manning Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and equipping him will cause you to sacrifice him when the equipment falls off end of turn as well.

So equip it to actual creatures with vigilance or accept the risk of them being sacrificed at the end of the turn.

I've been working on a brew using Stitcher's Graft & Always Watching . Haven't gotten that far but I recommend thinking about trying something using that.
