some of you are farmiliar with battle for the eldrazi? desolation twin is so over powered it cant be imagined. im trying to make a deck that gets it out very fast. Void winnower would also be nice. some help please.
thats true. i could add that in too, but 2 10/10s is 20 damage. if i could get that out 4th turn somehow, then i win. mog could be a backup.

THere is 0 chance you will get this out on turn 4, in standard. You owuld be much better off, going for a turn 4 See the Unwritten with ferocious.

ok. maybe i should use green. see the unwritten will be over powered with eldrazi

You've used the word "overpowered" two times in three posts. You are aware that these cards cost six and nine mana respectively, right? There are a dozen ways something like that can go wrong. The cards are good, but overpowered is far from what you would call these cards. It's not like a Board Wipe or a Counterspell can still easily 1-for-1 that game plan. Overpowered? Have you ever played against a turn 4-on-the-play Jace, the Mind Sculptor? That's overpowered. Neither Desolation Twin nor See the Unwritten is even close to being overpowered, nor is the combination between them.

Not to beat a dead horse here... but two 10/10s for 10cmc with zero evasion is no where close to overpowered. A good old fashioned 1cmc 1/1 deathtouch shuts that down right quick. It's not a bad card... it's definitely a Timmy card.. but I frankly see no chance it sees standard play. In any scenario i'd rather have an Ulamog.

No need for butt hurt. You asked for opinions - you got em. Take it like a champ.

Don't forget that a 9 mana colourless card also has Ugin, the Spirit Dragon as an "opponent" close on the curve. And I'd probably choose Ugin over that twin thing, even on an empty board. Okay, maybe not an empty board but still. Dayum.

See the Unwritten into [Desolation Twin] is actually a way to make it much more powerful than Ulamog. Explore that deck idea because it will be quite good if you do it right.
If the cards exist for it you will be able to often T4 your combo, and almost always T5 it. "G/x Unwritten Ramp" (probably G/R) is going to be a viable deck.
Also, while 2 10/10 vanilla creatures can be shut down, they're a lot scarier than people think, especially on T4-5 when most people are just casting Siege Rhino.

The problem with Unwritten is that Eldrazi have cast triggers, not ETB triggers, so Twin will be 1 10/10, and Newlamog won't exile permanents. Still doesn't stop me from using them in my Temur Eldrazi though. think about this:
T1: Forest
T2: Land, Rattleclaw Mystic
T3: land, Shaman of Forgotten Ways
T4: Kiora, Master of the Depths tap Shaman and mystic for mana, untap shaman and a land then possibly tap again to play a 3-6 drop, like Conduit of Ruin, Herald of Kozilek, another dork.
T5 Newlamog or Twin.

I knew that Ula was a cast trigger, as are all of the "classic" eldrazi. For some reason I thought twin was an etb. My previous post is less good now.

t5 void winnower, t6 twin. give them haste somehow and you deal them 20. the temur idea is good. and has anybody thought about ob nixilis and enter the infinite... that is a good combo, unless they have over 120 life. a bit slow, but you could make it work. also, the new kind of twin jsut sounds awesome.

there are also slower but more consistent ramp into eldrazi combos with From Beyond, netting you a Newlamog t6-7.

If you're spending 10 mana, isn't Ulamog just stronger? Two fatties is great, but I think I'd rather have one indestructible fatty that exiles 2 permanents. Could easily be that the metagame prefers diversified threats, but 'Mog just seems more reliably great.
