So like i said in the title I'm new to the world of mtg (did my first draft tonight and got third place on eight) and my friend told me i should try to build myself a standard deck but i could use some pointers
I looked in a few standard set an i saw a few cards i liked but im not sure if they fit well together and before making a deck list i thought i could ask for a few tips here
So the play style I'm looking for is more of an aggressive one with removal spell or maybe some burn effect (or both) i don't want a deck with 50 creatures but i don't want a deck with only 2 creatures either
I do love the black cards and i don't mind splashing red or white in the mix or even artifacts
Im not sure what more i could say on my style but for the budget since im just getting started and i don't know if i would like it in standard so i dont wanna play a 500$ deck (i know powerful deck are costy) im only looking for a fun budget deck who can get me a few wins at my locals nothing big and expensive
And i don't want a full deck list just a few cards suggestions or a mechanic that goes with an aggressive play styleBecause i wanna build it myself then post it here for suggestions
Thanks

Welcome! One of my personal favorite types of decks is a red/ white equpment deck, running cards like Inventor's Apprentice and Stone Haven Outfitter with cards such as Captain's Claws and/or Stitcher's Graft. And since you're in red and white you got plenty of options for burn and kill spells!

as Delta-117 says, R/G energy is a thing... probably the most powerful budget option your gonna get.
With the playstyle you expressed your interest in... B/R vampire madness might be more up your alley...
Look at a few R/G Electrostatic Pummeler Energy Decks ....
Then maybe do a search for black and/or red vampires within standard on Gatherer, with finding aggro and discard outlets and these cards in mind; Collective Brutality , Harsh Scrutiny , Alms of the Vein , Fiery Temper...
... then go from there ?
idk that's my 2 cents... good luck and have fun.

Good work! Standard is a brewers' format. The advice I was given was to buy cards, not decks. If I were you, I'd establish a budget, spend a lot of time researching and thinking before you buy anything, maybe settle on two or three colors to focus on (adding colors = $$$ for mana bases), and just start picking up cards that get good reviews and you feel match your play style and overarching strategy. Then just try to make a deck that incorporates your stronger cards (That doesn't just mean 'more expensive') with other cards to boost their strengths or cover their weaknesses. Through that process you'll also discover more about the style of Magic you like to play, and what you're best at playing.

If you're new to mtg I would recommend a different format to start with unless your friend only plays standard, it's just a very costly format to keep up with and doesn't give you as much knowledge about the game as some other formats. I would recommend edh over anything else seeing as it can be played on a budget, introduces you to all different strategies, and greatly helps your deck building abilities.

Green firestorm so i decided to play with green red instead cuz i had a few cards from my draft day and my friend got me a few cards from his collection so yeah that's what i ended up with after a few hours of testing

I know you said you weren't asking for specific decklists, but just because you have chosen R/G, here is an example of the typical deck list. Even though you said you may plan to build whatever you do differently, this is a great example to lead you in making the deck your own.

Welcome to playing Magic the gathering I do hope you enjoy it near as much as I have. I have myself been playing standard for about 2 years now, with another 2 years before that playing casual games and then commander. Standard is one of my favourite formats in fact now. But enough of that, here are some decks/cards that follow that I think you would like:
R/B aggro is a deck that uses cards like Scrapheap Scrounger, Inventor's Apprentice, Pia Nalaar, Unlicensed Disintegration, Fiery Temper, Harnessed Lightning, Lathnu Hellion, Smuggler's Copter, Bomat Courier, among other cards.
Then there's the much more cheaper R/G energy decks (Primarily because it excludes the costly Smuggler's Copters) using cards like Voltaic Brawler, Bristling Hydra, Longtusk Cub, Servant of the Conduit, Harnessed Lightning and then of course Electrostatic Pummeler with cards like Uncaged Fury, Built to Smash, and Blossoming Defense.
