U/B Control Help for FNM
Standard Deck Help forum

I've been out of standard for about a year, so this will my first FNM back. I'd like to make a U/B control deck that uses spells to bounce creatures back into my opponent's hand, and then discard spells to drain their resources.
The main creatures I'll be running are Master of the Feast and Nighthowler alongside a single Jace, Vryn's Prodigy Flip, Erabos's Titan, and maybe a Disciple of the Ring or two.
The overall plan is to cast things that would survive Languish (which I plan on playing 3 of) while filling their graveyard through mill, discard, and counters to be able to cast a beefy Nighthowler.
I've done some testing and Disciple of the Ring can steal games out of nowhere, but it doesn't really fit the theme of the deck. I don't really have much standard stuff though, and she's fun, so that's why I'll probably be keeping at least two in my deck.
Is this sort of thing even viable in standard? I'm having a lot of trouble balancing a mix of counters, card draw, and kill spells, but I don't really know what threats are out there that I should be aware of and ways to deal with them.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Maybe something like this? It's not super awesome but I think it's what you're looking for. (Im also pretty bored right now!)

Master of feasts worsens your game plan of discard, since it gives them more cards. I suggest using Tasigur, the Golden Fang instead, since he's a good cheap threat and plays into your plan to help fuel Disciple of the ring. He will require you to run less dig's, but he can build card advantage too, so he will devalue dig a little.
I don't understand the choice of nighthowler. If your looking to be aggressive and need something resilient, maybe 4x Bloodsoaked Champion would work better? plus it comes out early which is pretty big. The only bad thing is it doesn't block, which could be a huge liability if you have to play against some mono-red.
More Jace's is also good to help fuel Disciple, plus it's Jace, he's awesome, and it will help stretch their removal thinner.
