Why does my mono-black sacrifice deck suck so bad?

Hi everybody,
I've played several games with this deck and for some reason I thought it would do much better. One game I got lucky with a runaway Voracious Null, but the rest have been very underwhelming.
I'd really like to go to Standard night at the card shop with this deck, but I don't think it's up to snuff.
Thanks for any suggestions, really appreciate your time!

I think you summed it up perfectly! The deck is very slow and only once did Voracious Null perform like I thought he would.
I got some really good suggestions on my deck page that I'm going to implement. I think they'll really help even though none of them are super huge or scary.

Well to put it bluntly, as is the deck is slow fragile, and doesn't seem to do anything super powerful. Basically it going to take quite a bit of time to get cull blade or voracious null to the point of being game winning beaters, and any decent piece of removal is going to set you back to square one. plus since it takes so long for you to get your threat online, many aggro deck can just eat you alive. Honestly cull blade and null are really hard to make good anywhere other than in limited as the effort in to value out is really low. Compare Cullblade to something like Noosegraf Mob, to get Cullblade to a similar size as the mob you's have to kill 4 creatures while still keeping the Cullblade alive, which is a rather herculean task. So if you like mono black, and still want to run something similar I'd suggest you find other reasonably costed threats that can stand on their own rather than outting your eggs all into one basket. If you're looking for ideas, Chittering Host is a recently printed common that seems like it'd be fun to brew around in standard.
